I love this pharmacy. I've been getting my prescriptions here for a few years now and they are great. The full your medicine quickly. They're a small business so you don't have to wait on hold for 20+minutes if you have one tiny question!!!! Not too mention they have free delivery if you need it and are within a certain radius.

This pharmacy is refusing to service anyone who isn’t a consistent customer of theirs despite me expressing that I do not require many prescriptions and the only prescription I do need , they are the only pharmacy that carries it . I spoke to the pharmacy manager Nora who couldn’t care less, and she then told me I had already spoke to the owner who declined service . I guess if you aren’t a cash cow of prescriptions for them , they genuinely don’t want your business . Save your time .

This place is great. Everyone who works there is extremely kind and helpful. The pharmacy staff is exceptional and their prices are much cheaper than CVS. It's also a great store, lots of cute merchandise.

Actually have time to answer questions and always have your prescription when they say it's ready. Good selection and some cute gifts too!

I called today because my Dr send me to call New city Pharmacy for my new prescription I spoke to a lady I don’t know her name, who after she tuck my information ask me if all my medications were going to be send to the pharmacy I explained to her that I don’t live in the area that it was just that particular medication and it was my Dr the one who wanted to send it there. The lady turn in to a very mean and disgusting person I told me that if I wasn’t going to send all my medications there that she wasn’t helping me I confronted her and ask her if she was denying the service and again she reply that if I wasn’t going to send all my medication there she wasn’t going to help me and she hang up the phone on me. Very mean very nasty is sad that some people work in a bad mood and they not willing to help. My first time and she treated me like garbage. I don’t know her name but she sounded older and she knew exactly what she was doing she even mention the name of the medication and that they did have the medication in stock. Is a shame for the pharmacy to have people like that working dealing with costumers, I called my DR back and told him to please send my prescription some where else. Nasty lady very mean and nasty

Honestly these guys are just phenomenal. They are quick, communicative, and competent. If you have copays, they will jump out of their skin to find you coupons.Just great service. If you are in New City and you don’t use this pharmacy, you are making your life harder than it needs to be.

Pleasant atmosphere, you are greeted as you enter, and all of you can be helped. Pharmacy staff are courteous and will even provide curbside pickup or home delivery. This is a small Pharmacy with many items to offer like wheelchairs and other equipments. Also,an area with Melissa and Doug toys. They send you text messages that to you know your meds are ready for pickup.

Zero stars if I could - forced to place 1 star.New City Pharmacy has the absolute worst pharmacists that I have ever encountered in 20 years. Nora, one of the part owners, is rude, obnoxious and is flat out a miserable human being. Now, we all know prior ownership committed felonies by stealing medicare funds - which is why it closed down for a few months. When Nora and her other partners re-opened under new ownership/management - they were nice and asked us to recommend the pharmacy to other people. As months came/went, things went downhill -Nora would lie to my face, i.e., saying that they couldn't accept cash, when they did the month before and the month after, saying my insurance had requirements before Rxs could be filled-which was complete BS, the pill bottles were short on occasion (my fault for not counting there). Nora also seems to have personal issues with respect to the type of prescription one has. I suppose that when someone just stands behind a counter all day --it may be inconceivable that certain trades, like construction jobs - require intense/heavy repetitive work causing long lasting pain & physical problems like torn rotator cuffs in shoulders, torn meniscus in knees, herniated discs in spine, etc. It seems to me that instead of following the directive of physicians vis a vis the prescription - she looks down on people who live in constant pain as she makes it as difficult as possible to fill certain pain scripts & looks down on people who are unlucky enough to need such medication. In addition, she does not seem to know that there is a distinction between narcotics and non-narcotics - something that a high school student can determine by simple common sense. The job of a pharmacist is not difficult in today's age (they are no longer actual apothecaries mixing meds and making scripts; further the online databases tell pharmacists if certain medications do not mix well with others -so they do not have to even study each client's medication regimen). The job today, simply involves (i) counting pills (or using the machine that counts pills- which at New City Pharma has been broken for who knows how long). (ii) typing in the client's insurance info and following directions as to what the insurance covers/does not cover, and (iii) to be cordial.I will note that the store staff is nice - but I cannot imagine why anyone would want to remain employed there given the miserable attitude of ownership. As a small pharmacy -- that should cater to their clients, New City Pharmacy also drops the ball when it comes to giving folks advance notice when the script is not available, instead of ridiculing clients for not knowing there are pharma company backlogs with respect to certain scripts. So, if you don't want to worry about either the negative physical consequences resulting from rudely being turned away when presenting your script or getting yelled at when you ask how to handle the issue - this pharmacy is not for you. There are a couple of decent pharmacists who have worked there or still work there - but if they are unlucky enough to work with Nora during their shift, I've seen her rudely force her confusing and/or incorrect BS on those pharmacists to convey to clients. I know personally know 3 people who have experienced the same rotten attitude from Nora (and her ilk working there) who recently advised me that they will never go back to New City Pharmacy because of similar issues.I will never go back either. I recommend finding another pharmacy not only because of the piss-poor attitude, but also because the goods there are really overpriced.

I had a prescription from my doctor that was supposed to be sent to CVS (I usually send them there because I work crazy hours and its 24 hours) however they sent it to NCP by accident. I called them ten minutes before they closed thinking I was going to miss it or have to deal with calling the doctors office to resend it to the right place, and they let me know my options and offered to deliver it to my house instead of having to worry about having someone rush there to pick it up or wait until the next day. They brought my prescription over within 20 minutes - they were extremely fast, reliable and SO HELPFUL. Ive had really bad experiences lately at CVS where they gave me the wrong medications twice in one week, took hours to fill it & were trying to convince me to take something over the counter because they had processed the wrong medication. Dealing with new city pharmacy was so easy and they really do care about their customer service and customers. I will definitely be using them from now on.
