“Really good hardware stores, are more than a nice-to-have, they're a necessity. Located on Main St, parking can be difficult at times but that's the biggest drawback. Goldberg's has just about every hardware necessity you could need; paint, tools, keys, wood glue, they got it all. Service is great as everyone working here is family and this actually cares about what they're doing. I didn't have any big questions when I was there, but I heard them helping others and they clearly know what they're talking about. Prices are reasonable.I'll take this any day over sorting through a gigantic warehouse of shit with people who don't want to be there. Local hardware stores are a godsend, and this is no exception.”

“Craftmaster Hardware, is where it's at! I'm a Maintenace Techniacian and a good portion of my job requires locksmithing. I exclusively shop here for all my locksmith needs. Why would I exclusively shop at one place? The answer is quite simple. They have unbeatable prices, fast shipping, and phenomenal customer service! The company I work for has an account with them, so the prices are ridiculously cheap; there's is absolutely no comparison. Their prices are usually 20-25% cheaper than the regular retail price. They're really good about shipping. Anytime I purchase an in stock item, they'll ship it out the same day and I will usually receive it the next day. Their customer service is top notch, I usually deal with a sales rep by the name Don; Don's the best! If I have any question about something I'm not familiar with or what kind of lock would be good with a certain application, he's pretty good at making a suggestion. A couple times I needed some out of stock items expedited and he was able to get them to me fairly quick. There's also been instances when I needed a something same day and I was able to pick it up directly from them. If you're a locksmith or a technician I highly recommend you check this place out!”
“Try this at Home Depot: I went over to Rockland county, New York, to help an 86 year old lady friend install a new mailbox. It sounds easier than it is, as hers was attached to 2 metal pipes, sitting in between other mailboxes. Rusty bolts and all that. Just getting the ancient one off was a task. After planning and measuring, we went to a neighborhood hardware store and bought a mailbox, but it turned out that they did not sell the wood we needed for the base. So we went to Beckerle in Congers. The man behind the counter treated my friend so kindly. He went to the back and found an old scrap piece of wood that fit under the mailbox. Plus, he helped me source the big screws and washers. He spent good long time with us to assure that we had what we needed, patiently and extraordinarily helpful. All that for $1.98. It was good old-fashioned service with a smile. I was impressed that there are still stores like this where customer service is top level, even if the actual profit is virtually zero. This place is the best of the best. Shop there!”

“Herb Lack Paints is a Nyack family owned business. Joseph along with his wife and son are a fixture in the Village Nyack business district.. Don't be fooled by the Paints they have have a lot more than paints. They have a great supply of Benjamin Moore paint, and do custom blending as well. They also repair screens there, and any copy of a key they have made for us always works. Their inventory includes everything from Gorilla glue to snow shovels. The family is incredibly helpful. Highly recommend a visit.”
