This was my first and absolutely last time using CVS Pharmacy. I had to switch from Walgreens due to insurance, but after this nightmare, I’d rather pay out of pocket than ever deal with CVS again. The pharmacy is a mess: no one answers the phone, the staff is rude and dismissive, and there are constant delays. I waited at the drive through for several minutes, hit the call button multiple times, and got no response. I ended up leaving the line and parking to go inside and only then did I see that a white customer pulled up to the drive through and was helped immediately. On top of that, someone else was receiving text updates about my prescriptions without my consent, a clear HIPAA violation, and when I brought it up, the pharmacist/pharmacy associate didn’t apologize or take it seriously at all… I work in healthcare myself this is UNACCEPTABLE. This isn’t just bad service it’s negligent, and a violation of patient privacy. CVS corporate needs to investigate this location immediately.

Was sent by Dr to pick up a steroid for my baby with severe croup at midnight because it’s the only 24 hour pharmacy in town. Drove 20 minutes and got there at 12am but pharmacists still working inside told me they cannot fill prescription because is was 1 minute past 12. I explained that my baby was having breathing problems but they were insensitive to my needs and said they will send it tomorrow. We were extremely disappointed but understand now that we see all the other negative reviews here.

CVS Pharmacy in New City is not taking any calls. They only want a voicemail for the Pharmacist. If CVS Pharmacy leaves me a message with a medication code I never heard of. Called the Doctor they never heard of it. Very disappointed with CVS, I never had this issue in the past.

Every time I come here there's ALWAYS an issue. Been here maybe 5 times max.
How is it that they always try to give you a gift card when you paid with your credit card for returns? Not to mention they dont even know how to do returns properly.
The first time I tried returning items, they said its not possible cause I placed an online order. Took them FOURTY FIVE MINUTES to FINALLY give me my money back.
The second time, I wanted to return TWO items i placed online. They said its not possible to give me my money back (only as a cvs gift card) even though I showed her my purchase through the app. She kept trying to push for a gift card when I gave her tude for not making sense and she finally gave me my money back.
The cvs in bardonia never give me any issues and they ALL know how to do their job.

You can order your prescription at 8 am and it still won’t be ready at 8pm. By far the worst in Rockland county. They don’t start your script until you pull up to get it and then say they are rushing it and to wait 20 minuets. Place is terrible patients who depend on time imperative medications should look elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

An indian guy who work on May 21, 2024 around 10 PM is beyond RUDE.
He used his computer at the very back of the clinic and (yelled) asked me my first name, last name , DOB together with WHICH PRESCRIPTION I WANT FOR TODAY with an attitude that he did not want to use his energy to work for anybody.
Well, someone needs to teach him that if he still wants to work in the medical filed, HE NEEDS TO KNOW THE PRIVACY OF THE DATA OF THE PATIENT.
PDPA policy needs to be in his mind AT ALL TIME!
I just be there to refill my prescription, ended up with I have to yelled back at him so loud with my personal details including the prescription that I use. Are you serious?
Do Everyone in CVS need to know my personal information??
Im pretty sure he break all the patient’s private policy today. And as per his behavior today, he probably do it regularly
Im sorry your job is not that tough compare with any other non-medical job.
If you have a bad day just stay at home.
Dont go out to work for money and treat people like this.
I will make sure he is going to get what he deserves.
I will report to board of pharmacy.
He probably forget that his license comes with responsibility.
What goes around always comes around.

You can't say you're a 24 hour pharmacy if you close for lunch from 1-2:30pm. This is a ridiculous. They put the orange cones blocking the drive through at 1:05pm. No other businesses let everyone go to lunch at the same time. Breaks should be in shifts.

Jermaine was the cashier that helped me cash out. He was very helpful and willing to help me save as much money as possible. Jermaine also signed me up for your extracare program which helped me save some money. Overall, Jermaine's customer service was spectacular. I had a poor customer service experience earlier in the day at the post office, and it is a good feeling to know that there are good people out there like Jermaine who care about their customers.

I am immediately removing my entire family from CVS pharmacy. They never know what to do, always confuse insurance cards. They never have the decency to call if they need further information from the patient and or the docthen when you return to pick up your prescription they tell you is not ready!!!! After 5 hours of waiting!!!
