“It's got what I need. I stop there for cat treats, love buy 3 get one free on temptations. I also have bought bearded dragon supplies and of course every kind of dog food, toys and treats. I like the Treats rewards too, though I wish they had non-purchase related ways to earn points. Pet Supplies Plus (Long Island area) let's you earn rewards points by watching videos and answering surveys, as well as purchases. Sometimes being involved with the company's app when no money is expected makes you feel more positively towards the brand and I wish PetSmart would adopt those marketing methods. Still, it's close to my house and PetSmart saves cats and holds dog adoption events. I really hope they stay in business. So many retail businesses are closing because of Amazon and I truly hope PetSmart does not close.”

“Talia and Jeanine at Maximum K9 were so helpful with selecting some items I needed for my dog, Rugar. I came in looking for a crate and they helped me to choose the perfect one. Talia called over to the warehouse to see if it was in stock and after some discussion, we decided it best that I order online for pickup at the store. I also got a slip lead (Jeanine showed me how to use it) and a tug toy and bone that Talia said her dog loves! Their expertise and assistance made the process easy and enjoyable. “So, this is a chain pet store, but I don't feel that they are created equal. There is a different feeling about this one in particular, as I have been to these stores upstate as well as through Suffolk County (particularly in Central Islip and Ronkonkoma). Firstly, the staff are awesome here - insanely helpful even when you don't ask, friendly if you bring a furry friend in, and lovely when they check you out. I am also constantly impressed by their stock - I believe the only time in recent memory that they were out of stock in something that I needed was walnut cat litter, but I chose a reasonable alternative. The store is always incredibly clean as well, and doesn't smell off like other Pet Supplies Plus do in the area. Tanks and cages for small animals never have debris or are in need of care. I enjoy shopping here and haven't been to Petsmart or Petco in years because of how much I love this store!”

“If you're a "bird person," you know that the number of parrot specialty stores in the NY metro area has decreased in recent years. Some places I had previously patronized for supplies, boarding, and grooming- like 33rd and Bird in Manhattan and For Birds Only in Mineola- have sadly closed, and, when taking my first extended trip in a while, I needed to find somewhere new for boarding. After speaking to Tom on the phone, I decided to take my bird to First Flight despite not having been there before and it being a bit out of the way for me. I am so glad I did. The store is well-organized, brightly lit, and so fresh and clean. Immediately upon entering his temporary cage my bird was totally at ease and eating like a pig-- and couldn't have cared less about saying goodbye to me. When I came back to collect him, I also had his nails and beak done, and the grooming was gentle and expertly executed. I am sort of hesitant to entrust my bird to others, to a degree that I have sometimes avoided traveling; but after seeing what a nice time he had at First Flight, I'm confident that I have a great boarding option for the future and look forward to more anxiety-free trips.”

“I adopted Molly from Long Island Feline Adoption Center in January 2023 and Im glad i did and its been nothing but joy and love ever since. Molly is my first cat and I definitely was a bit nervous as I only had dogs previously and I knew the breeds were definitely different. As soon as I arrived at Feline Adoption Center Cheryll took her time to get to know me and my living situation and what I was looking for and matched me with Molly. I came in on a Monday and visited every day that week and went home with Molly that Saturday. Molly is such a sweet, beautiful and well behaved cat. Im so lucky to have her and Im so thankful to Cheryll for matching us Molly is what was missing from my life. Molly is so comfortable in her new home and its only been 5 months and I know that love and joy is only going to continue to grow as I hope she lives a long & happy life. “I've been searching for a good reliable groomer for over 3 years for my Labradoodle. After six different places, I was referred to Janice at South Shore Grooming. I called and left a message on Saturday and got a call back within 24hrs for a Monday appointment. I have to admit I was a little anxious, especially after having no luck with the previous groomers. I dropped off my furbaby at 10am and got a ball back by 12pm that she was ready. I was surprised to say the least since in the past it's taken at least 4+ hours at all the other places. But when I got there I was pleasantly surprised. Janice was able to accomplish what no other groomer had, she managed to do a full grooming on my relatively big (75+ lbs) girl, without having to air dry her or keep her in a kennel for longer than needed. Keke (my furbaby) was absolutely excited to see me but what I noticed was that she didn't look sad like she normally did after our previous grooming sessions. Janice took real good care of Keke and you could visibly see how happy she was. I feel like I just hit the jackpot finding Janice so close by. Thank you for taking such good care of my furbaby and making her look and smell great!!! I can officially say I have found a groomers for LIFE!!!!! “Always has my cats food and litter in stock, right by the parkway so it's super convenient or me. Staff is always friendly to me and the prices are good so it's my go to pet store. I always stop to see the cats just to say hi, I always feel bad that I can't take them home with me as I already have 2.”

“I am giving them 4 1/2. Stars !!!!!!!!!! I have been in the store about 20 times since I adopted my Lab puppy in march of 23. Mostly because they have a large variety of dog products, food, bully sticks toys etc. . Their prices are a bit higher or equal to that of the chain stores. But they carry so many items in stock on their shelves it's worth it. Example! My pup is a chewer, loves bully sticks, they have them in all sizes, shapes imaginable including a three foot bully stick. You're lucky if you can find any in the big box stores without ordering on line. I mostly shop in the Selden store, and have been helped by many different employees, all of them have been extremely polite and courteous every time. Never had a problem with any of their employees. Just wanted to mention this because of all the negative reviews on their employees.”

“I’ve found my groomer for life! The service here is unmatched- so much so that when I pulled into the parking lot unable to find the location of the store, the owner stood by the door signaling me inside (haha)- he saw a woman with a Goldendoodle and knew it was him we were looking for!He offered great advice on nutrition and a couple of other pointers that would benefit our puppy. The groomer was understanding, she offered advice on how to better our Goldendoodles coat with out judgement and gave him his best groom yet! Don’t look any further for a groomer- this place deserves an award for most friendly, understanding and professional grooming in town! Thank you!”

To my Amazement i got them Delivered to me by 3p.m. the next Day & i live out in the Moriches . I am Blown away with these Folks & i saved about $30 on all 4 Meds . GREAT JOB PET DRUG STORE !!! “Planned to bring my 3 cats for flea baths while the exterminator was bombing out our home. The guy working was really knowledgeable and told me he couldn’t see any on them. I had used Advantage on them 3 weeks prior and didn’t know it would have been too soon for a flea bath if they had needed one. I’m glad he was honest because he said it could have been dangerous for my cats to get the bath. Who knows, other places might have not cared and done it anyway. He let me board them and the dogs while the exterminator took care of the fleas, very nice guy. He has a new customer”

We bought a special food and they always have it in stock, the one time they didn't they were willing to call up other stores and see if they could do ship to store.I think it might be a few dollars more than PetSmart but it's a nice store and I like shopping there mostly because of the staff”

“From when I checked in until I got the result of my dog's heart work test, everything went just fine.The 2 vets were very gentle with BisKit and made it very easy for both of us.The buy who greeted me first, explained the vaccines that my dog needed and when his rabies shot needed to be renewed in June.”

“I have to be honest, when looking for a rehab I skipped this one because of the low stars. The one we picked was awful. I had to pull my father out. a friend then recommended Island. When I first walked in, it was 10pm. I noticed how absolutely clean the facility was. The staff was welcoming. They made my father feel so welcomed. Everyone is so nice. They communicate every aspect of my fathers care. The physical therapists are great. The bathrooms are clean and stocked. My father is a picky eater and they do not stop trying different food so that he eats. the nurses are awesome. I can't say enough how great they all are. Not one issue. The staff answers quickly to the call button. They make sure my father is comfortable. If you are looking for a rehab for a loved one, I strongly recommend Island.”
