An amazing place for a retreat of any kind! My business partner and I needed a quiet, private, beautiful space removed from our city/academic office space in which to pursue our creative project. Shangi-la was perfect: incredibly appointed, we had the North Bunk House, and, immersed into our work, fueled by the beauty of the grounds. We intermittently wandered the expansive parklands for breaks and inspiration, then returned to our warm bungalow (enjoyed the teas and coffee Ed supplies!) to do the work. The most productive and relaxing work retreat ever--did you know the two were simultaneously possible? And I am picturing a family- and friends-getaway here in the future--our joyous experience amidst the first snow shower of the year convinced me this would be wonderful any time of year.

What a wonderful natural oasis to spend some time to relax and unwind! Shangi-Li is a beautiful space that has most of the amenities that you need and even some extra like organic coffee and tea. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors with friends and or family this is an awesome place!

I stayed at Shangri-La rentals recently and had an amazing experience. The North bunk house was spotless and super comfortable. The grounds are beautiful-great hiking! So peaceful and relaxing. I will definitely return to this property in the future. Wonderful vacation!!

My wife and I stayed in the South Bunk house and we had an amazing stay. The house was beautiful, extremely clean, well maintained, and extremely cozy. The owner truly thought of everything. Beds were amazingly comfortable, sheets and towels were high quality, and everything you needed was included. The property was serene and peaceful, lots of well maintained walking trails that we were able to snow shoe on. My wife and I wanted a quiet, romantic getaway, which this was perfect for. Beautiful shower, jacuzzi tub, and steamer. The owner, Ed, was very nice and very responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend Shangri La properties, and we definitely intend to come back! Loved everything about this place including a ton of animals and wildlife nearby. Perfect weekend, romantic getaway!

I had stayed at this property 5 years ago and thought it was perfect, beautiful and relaxing. Now that I finally had a chance to return, I was amazed at the passion of the owner who has continued to make major improvements throughout the property. The name of this property, Shangri-La describes accurately the special feeling you get while staying at this magical place.

Ed was a wonderful host and this location was perfect. Lovely location, lovely homes. Both the north and south bunkhouses were great gathering areas, the outdoor spaces were great for cooking out and visiting.

Spent a nice relaxing week at the north bunkhouse with my gf and cat. When we first checked in everything was spotless and extremely clean, due to the pandemic they leave the houses unoccupied for at least 4 days prior to a new guest check in and do a great job making sure the house is clean and prepared. Kitchen is fully equipped, there is sufficient hot water, washer/dryer, great wifi speed, smart TVs equpped with netflix, hulu, etc....and above all everything is solar powered... the north bunkhouse also has a great view of the muscovy duck pond, and there are also nice trails around the property. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful getaway, or even if you want to hit up the wine trails which are not far away, this is a good place to stay, especially if you have a pet. I will definitely return hopefully sooner than later.

We stayed in the South Bunk house and we had a fantastic stay. The house was beautiful, extremely clean, well maintained, and there was thoughtful details everywhere. The owner truly thought of everything. Beds were amazing comfortable, sheets and towels were high quality. The property was serene and peaceful, lots of well maintained walking trails and our children loved seeing the ducks. We only stayed 3 nights, though we definitely could have stayed longer just enjoying the property. The owner, Ed, was so very nice and very responsive to any questions we had. We would very highly recommend Shangri La properties, and we definitely intend to come back!

We just stayed at one of the cabins at Shangri-la over Christmas weekend. We were looking for a change of scenery during COVID since we weren't getting together with extended family. The cottage was clean, well equipped and serene. The owner was very friendly and went out of his way to accommodate us, even putting up Christmas decorations in the home before we arrived. The property is beautiful, well maintained and the paths were cleared from recent snowfall so we could enjoy the nature trail.

Shangri-La is an absolute gem in the fingerlake region. Ed is so warm and welcoming as well as full of knowledge about the technology and surrounding nature. Staff was also very nice and very accommodating.Our stay was fabulous and we are looking forward to planning our next visit.We stayed at the South Bunk House and it is perfect for a family trip with the dog taboot! All the amenities combined with the wildlife, duck farm, pond and trails are a recipe for the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy family.Ed thank you so much for the stay and see you soon!
