Went in to purchase a particular paint color and brand only sold by Benjamin Moore. Upon entering, I was greeted with a hello. THAT was the only communication that I received from the two employees working there. Now, usually people liked to be left alone with their thoughts as they shop. So, I appreciated that. What I didn't appreciate was being COMPLETELY ignored! Now, this is a small store and I am the ONLY customer inside. I asked for assistance TWO times. NOTHING! On my second request, the representative that greeted me was reluctantly headed my way when he was saved by a phone call. Wouldn't you know it, the person calling received faster service or shall I say, MORE service then myself. The ACTUAL customer in the store. To make matters worse, the second representative assisted the other in helping with the phone inquiry! IF this doesn't say WE DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS! I frankly don't know what does. So, I took mine to Sherman Williams. There, I was greeted with a genuine greeting, allowed to explore their wares, and when needed, assisted! I did not get the Benjamin Moore superior paint that I set out for but, what I did receive was a SUPERIOR customer service experience. So, to this I say, Thank you to the two uninterested representatives of Wallauer Paint and Hardware of Nanuet, NY. I spent my $1500.00 at a more well deserved establishment.
