After inspection I was told that it’s only cash without any prior warning. They then proceeded to tell me that that’s the law and that no one takes card for inspection anymore (complete lie) the cashier then started to get loud with me. Unprofessional don’t go here

I went there because I got a flat tire in the highway .When I asked the guy there how much is 1 used tire he told me $100, the guy then signed he didn’t have any tires that fit after he saw I complained about the price. He charged me 25 to replace my old one with my spare mini donut and then wanted to charge an extra 10 just to take the broken tire off the rim.If you can stay away from these scammers! look at their horrible reviews.

they will try and scam you. Went for my NYS Inspection and they tried telling me my rear brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced to pass me on a brand new car with less than 14k miles on it all highway miles too. Went down the road and immediately passed

TLDR: I got scammed for $700. My old car ran into a clogged catalytic converter issue while traveling to NYC. The tower recommended this place and took us there for repairs. Despite concerns, we didn't have any other recommendations in the neighborhood, so we decided to go here. They had a quick chat after my car was delivered. There is a medically dumb mechanic who was pointing to the catalytic converter from the very start, but the main person there quoted us for $700 worth of oxygen sensors, valves, oil change and spark plug repairs. They took 6 hrs for it. Upon picking the car up next day we still faced the same issue (won't accelerate properly), and quoted another $600 worth of repairs (even now not pointing to the catalytic converter, probably because he didn't have one readily available to sell me), which I declined. At once point he even suggested he could cut off the whole catalytic converter pipe and throw it to solve the issue (obviously he wouldn't throw it given they sell for some price due to precious metals inside). Had to drive the car 4 hrs in that precarious condition before my local mechanic got it fixed by changing the catalytic converter for $350, parts and labor included.

Do not come here for an inspection sticker or car service. I came here back in 2020 for a $37 inspection sticker and left paying $750 after they duped me into replacing my ball joints and stabilizers. My car was fine before I came here and I was naive and needed the inspection sticker. Well guess what, 3 years later those parts they replaced for me that should've last years and years went bad and I had to replace them. My new mechanic in the Bronx told me they were "cheap" parts and that I was essentially scammed. Go somewhere else and get a 2nd opinion before falling for there scare tactics. I went somewhere else and payed over $200 LESS and higher quality parts. Read the other reviews here, they prey on women and customers just wanting a simple inspection sticker. SHAME on you Mount Vernon Auto Clinic.

Ok there is no doubt that this place is scam central. I had a muffler issue that needed repairs and was told it would be fixed in a couple of hours. Then waited the whole day and problem still exists after paying $600. Beware of the female who is acting manager but knows very little about cars. If you want to get scammed go here for sure.

Total scammers. Should’ve read reviews before requesting an inspection. Failed me and told me I needed a brake job. I knew I didn’t and wasn’t gonna let them touch my car further. Dealer’s mechanic passed me with no issues, although noticed a parking light was out - which this shop missed completely. Additionally they charge a good $.50 more for gas than most of the stations in the area.In short: AVOID THIS PLACE

The service is of aPlace that knows what he/she/them/her/him/they is doing and will tell you what’s needed. Now if you go some where else and the service is either “better” or/and “cheaper.” Great keep going there. But don’t put down anyone business due to HONEST and NO SCAMS at all! Just HONESTY‼️ SimpleOh and if thee “counter person” talks of “oh she scammed, another one.” Then it should have been brought to the company owner not social media? Now that’s my OPINION ?

I went in for a routine car inspection. The employees told me to go into a sketchy room where the bathroom was located. When the owner or manager, I assume, called me and told me to step out. I saw my car lifted and my tires were removed. She immediately told me that I needed to get new brakes and a rotor in order to pass inspection. I informed her that I already had an appointment with my car manufacturer and she confronted my statement by questioning why would I pay them when the cost of the manufacturers labor is pricier and hers was cheaper. I have experiences with driving and maintaining a car for the last 23 years and just because I'm a female does not mean I do not know about cars. I told her that during my 23 years of owning a car and having prior inspections, no one has ever used this method. She rebutted with "oh well this is how we do it" in a condescending tone. By then, I already knew that she just wanted to manipulate me for my money which is absolutely sad since she is a female as well. I simply replied to her that I will go to another location and to bring my car down. Her aggressive response was to tell her employee to bring my car down and fail me without even finishing the inspection. She must have known that my car was going to pass the inspection and she just wanted to rob me of my money. If you decide to go here just make sure that your car is straight out of the dealership because I overheard her bragging to her employees how she failed several people in the past few days and how she didn't have enough inspection stickers. When I went to a different location to get my inspection done, they passed me and were even appalled by this woman's bizarre business practices. .

As posted in other reviews - SCAM. Noticed bad tires and called me right away. I asked to not do the inspection until I change the tires elsewhere. However, they continued the inspection, failed it, and charged full price, including emissions. Supposedly did the oil change but didn't check or added fluids, like everyone else does. Charged $120 for the oil change and didn't even reset the computer. Makes me wonder if they did it at all. And what's really disappointing is that the owner is a woman who is taking advantage of other women. SHAME!
