Only 2 hours from NYC, the Foxfire Mountain House was a fantastic time. We attended a wedding here and had the whole resort to ourselves with all family and friends. The food was out of this world good both from the restaurant and the wedding. I can’t remember the last time I ate so well for an entire weekend.
Staff was very friendly and personable. I gave the room 4/5 stars only because we could have used a few more hooks to hang suites and dresses from, but other than that I would definitely recommend.

Had the most delightful time at this beautiful location. A real jewel of the Catskills. We felt so taken care of, and truly had the time of our lives. Plus this restaurant was excellent, so definitely don't sleep on this amazing space. Can't recommend highly enough.

My husband and I just attended the In The Wild Forrest dinner and a night stay at Foxfire and it was a magical night we will reminisce about the rest of our lives.
The staff was so lovely and accommodating. I’m breastfeeding and the team happily and safely labeled/stored all my pumped breast milk and never made me feel awkward about it.
The inn is like something out of a magazine. Each corner adorned with beautiful pieces and so many places to sit with a cocktail and book or have a conversation.
Now the meal…. Wow, the meal…..My husband and I are foodies and each bite was better than the last. The menu was so creative and cooked with such passion. Each dish was perfection.
We absolutely can’t wait for next year to do it again. We will certainly be back! Thank you Foxfire Mountain House for making our mini post-baby moon an unforgettable experience!

Incredible venue. Photographed a wedding here and it was a magical spot. The staff is incredibly helpful and when you turn around everything is clean again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful wedding weekend at Fox Fire! Staff was lovely and accommodating. Food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Rooms are extremely basic and could use a counter in the bathroom.
Water pressure was lacking and several of our guests struggled with the shampoo dispensers.
Noteworthy details: Enjoyed having the whole family on site and felt well cared for and fed. Appreciated the extras and attention to detail. Vendors were excellent and all recommended by FoxFire

This is a very belated review as we stayed here in 2017! We loved everything about our stay. The hospitality shown by the hosts was exceptional and the accommodation was charming and comfortable. We loved the decor and the garden and how relaxing it was.
I would recommend Fox Fire Inn to anyone visiting this beautiful area.

Attended a wedding here with friends. A peaceful, quiet weekend hideaway with an amazing spa, large gift shop and places to eat and drink nearby. The staff at Foxfire were the best, hands down. The rooms were comfortable and the decor had a mellow mountain vibe without feeling old or outdated. The food provided was varied in scope and fantastic. Noteworthy items were the breakfast biscuits and also the chicken and waffle bites during happy hour. Would highly recommend for a special event or a quiet getaway.

What an incredible place! Incredibly friendly staff, insanely good food, a calm and peaceful enviornment. I mean wow this place is just absolutely great. The grounds are well kept, the bed very comfortable, room was super cozy and clean. We may not remember all the details in the future, but we sure will remember how we felt leaving here. Thank you for a great experience!

Best place on earth! Whether you're staying at Foxfire for a weekend getaway or deciding whether it's the place you want to get married, look no further. Whenever I'm there it feels like I'm in a giant bubble of love and coziness, with the luxury of having this wonderful staff who go above and beyond to take care of us the entire time. A fantastic, truly magical place to stay! Every detail of the property is thoughtful, as are the warm, kind staff (huge thank you to Chris & Manny in particular for welcoming me & making me feel right at home!). I was so charmed & can’t wait to return.
Food and drinks: The on-site restaurant was phenomenal (for both breakfast & dinner) - a true treat!

A gem. Food was all very good and ambiance is excellent. Staff is great. Had the mussels, brussel sprouts, trout, hanger steak, Caesar salad. All were great. Desserts were nice too.
