“Fun Shop!. Well sorted items, friendly vibe, and great taste from whoever is chosing the styles!. Would of been 5 stars , but could NOT find one large or extra large men' s shirt.or plus sized women's clothing. tons of Med. Small , even '0' sized items ( whatever that is) It may be you' re gearing for a style, or target age ,but people come in all sizes. Especially given your mission. Please, please include ALL sizes, so no one feels left out. I made a big effort to get there,( considering very limited hours), and couldn' t find a thing that would fit. thanks!”
“You have to believe. For the last 20 or so years, every time hubs and I visit Woodstock, we always make it a point to come here, upgrade our Tibetan Prayer Flags, get gifts, purchase Nag Champa and say 'hi' to our friend and Modern's owner, Daphne. So you know, Daphne herself or Merin(?), are happy to assist you with any questions you have. Modern Mythology is located right in the town's square. It's full of Dragons, Fairies, stocks a variety of silver pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces- which include Amber, Amethyst, Opal and other crystals that literally jump at you when you first walk in. Let me not forget, Mythology also sells Incense, Singing bowls, candles, Sage, Books, Chakra Sets, Tarot Cards and so many other items of spiritual nature. Most recently, we picked up a sterling silver 20" chain and an Eye of Horus to replace the one my daughter has had from here since she was 16, an Opal piece- as her October birth stone and medium sized Prayer Flags for our backyard. This shop is worth visiting, especially if you're interested and believe in the power of healing crystals, incense to clean out negativity and beyond. Modern Mythology provides quality products and treasures (at a price), to promote harmony between your mind, body and spirit through these natural products.”

“Walking into Merriweathers always lifts my spirits. It's bright and colorful and pretty and smells good; the vibe is happy and magical. There are clothes, jewelry, accessories, and items for the home, crystals, and fragrant soaps and cosmetics made by the store owner. The owner has a great eye for beautiful or amusing things that are quite affordable, especially for Rhinebeck. It's my go-to for gifts and I'm always seeing things I want for myself too.”

“There are a lot of places in Woodstock to buy beautiful and good quality clothes but only one Daisy. She was so helpful to me, was amazing at making suggestions, made sure I saw everything that I might like, and was so gracious and kind. The clothes I bought are such beautiful quality and I know they will last me many decades. She also had many things that fit me (a size 18/20). The only suggestion I will make is that the average American woman is a size 16-18, please don't be afraid to stock some larger sizes if you see the clientele for it, we are desperate to buy beautiful, good quality, and well-fitting things and are willing to spend just about anything to do so! Thank you and I will certainly be back!”

“Love this shop! My husband and come from NYC to Rhinebeck at least 1x a month and there are lovely stores there but I always make sure to stop in Zephyr each time. They have lovely and unique romantic pieces. In the Fall and Winter I bought quite a few cashmere pieces from pants to sweater to kimonos - all beautifully styled and great quality. I stopped in this past weekend and the manager and sales girls were so lovely and helpful. I wanted a certain style and they went above and beyond to find me the piece I was looking for. I came back twice that day to buy more. If you have never been here, then you are truly missing out.”

“I have lived in Ulster County for over 30 years and Theresa and Company is one of my favorite shops in the entire area. The store not only is one of the prettiest around but the owner is delightful. My favorite things have come from her shop and I always get compliments on them. The baby gifts are the cutest ever. The last photo is me in an Italian silk number, on sale, that I never thought I could pull off without her help and encouragement. Theresa has an incredible eye and gets great joy from helping other people look and in turn feel their best. She has been uptown Kingston over 35 years and there is a reason her business is thriving.I don't want to target anyone personally but I was in the store recently when a woman had a 3 year old that was running around the store like a maniac, throwing everything and even trying to enter the display windows, which are sectioned off. The owner politely asked the mother to control her child, who responded with hostility: "He can do anything he likes." Theresa then politely asked them to leave the store to prevent her merchandise from being damaged; anyone would have done the same. Perhaps this was the reviewer's version of rude behavior? If not, why bring down someone's average *** with no explanation?”
“Upon visiting this area for a graduation and suddenly needing a change of clothing I stopped in this store. I was so taken back by a customer while waiting in line to act so disgraceful towards the cashier. If you don't have the receipt then that's your own fault, not the stores. It was clear as day they couldn't find it, instead of causing a scene act proper. My first time in the area, lovely selection of dresses and I was fortunate to get the cashier that the other customer badgered. Outstanding young girl, professional. Made my store visit perfect. Thank you Burlington for your employees, they should be given a lot of credit for what they have to put up with.”
