23 Main St, Tarrytown“Although I m trying to wean myself away from buying books, since I recently acquired a library card, when I do buy one, it is always through Transom. I am a strong believer in supporting local businesses and this particular business is owned and staffed by thoughtful, helpful, knowledgable people. I love that I have an electronic connection with them; I always pay when I order and just wait for their email message.Go Transom!!”
“While I've never been there, I've only interacted with the store via their website and email, I have to say it is one of the best bookstores I've encountered. They are so friendly and helpful and were able to ship my daughter a book signed and personalized by the author. Thanks for a great experience.”
“Admittedly, this Barnes and Noble is significantly out of my way, coming in at a 40 minute drive, as opposed to the 10 minutes it takes me to get to Danbury. However, this location is simply too stunning to pass up. Everything is well organized, the have a lovely children’s area, lots of selection in every category, and the largest poetry section I’ve seen so far. Given the size of the store they also have a decent amount of clearance to snag at lower prices. In regards to the four star review, the bathroom situation here is disgusting. It was outdated and dirty which is a shame given how beautiful the store looks. It’s also a shame the cafe in this location has closed. Hopefully, they can utilize the space by adding more seating. At the end of the day, it’s stores like these that really make you relieved Barnes and Noble is still in business. Nothing beats spending a cold and rainy day getting lost for hours marveling at books.”
“Have always loved University Bookstores as a whole and this one was of no exception. It was always very cool and inviting and they usually had the best deals on books, especially if you rented them. They also had very good hours too! #paceu #paceuniversity #pace #bookstore #textbooks”
“Such an adorable bookshop full of used books across fiction, non-fiction, health, plays, and more. Even has an assortment of jewelry (I got a watermelon hair clip and a book), fun home decor items and more. Has a very calming, quaint, new agey vibe about it with a bean bag chair to stay a while and read. The owner’s mom was working the register while her son was away and gave great info on the books and the background of the store, which has been in business for almost two years. Will totally come back and buy some more.5 stars!!!”
