I've been here six years now and I've had my problems with rude neighbors for one reason or another...I try to be a good neighbor and give people the benefit of the doubt when I can...in the last four or five months or so we have had new people move in that have pretty much taken over the quad where I live and do whatever they want to do because they know that they won't be held accountable for their actions... They allow their children to yell and scream at the top of their lungs in the hallway... The children also put anything in front of the front door to keep it open while they run in and out and I felt a chill in my apartment and I checked the door in the hallway and it was being held open letting the heat out...I had to close the front door twice in 15 minutes...when the kids leave for school or come home from school they run in screaming loudly... Management finally put up signs in the hallway to keep quiet and to keep the noise to a minimum but to no avail...the kids still scream and yell and play in the hallway... If I say something I'm thought of as a complainer...management doesn't address any complaints properly ...there is no face to face with people that are causing the problems... Just a general letter sent to everyone which is laughed at and quickly discarded...that way it gives the illusion of addressing a problem... The other problem here is smokers...you can smell cigarette smoke strongly in the hallway and recently a visitor even complained about the smell and the blue haze of smoke in the hallway... The visitor was an asthmatic like me and two others in this quad...I've had cancer once and I don't want to get it again from second hand smoke in a supposed " smoke free facility"...anyone trying to sleep in the morning will be awakened by the screaming kids and if you have a respiratory condition, get used to walking through the smoke smell in the hallway... I have an application in another facility and hope to be moving by this time next year...I really hate complaining about anything but it's gotten to the point of being ridiculous and unbearable living here...I can't wait to be out of here...

Absolutely garbage. The only time living here is nice is when you are alone, and people AREN'T smoking 10 cigarettes a day. This is anything but an apartment complex for low-income people. Staff never listen to complaints and claim zero responsibility for other people's actions. Just don't bother living here.

The Management doesn’t care if you have a a medical condition. Your upstairs neighbor stomps so loud that causes a crack in the wall. And the next - door neighbor kids are constantly slamming the door. Hallway is completely dirty. Toys laying around the hallway. Everyone in this complex is very loud. No one here follows the rules. We had to deal with bedbugs.

Not sure if this place really qualifies as low income apartments.

Nothing to like about these apartments. They can't keep a manager/landlord for longer than a few months. Any requests for work on your apartment takes weeks or months to get done, if you're even that lucky. They lose paperwork all the time. They have poor communication skills. They allow drug addicts in. There is police at the complex at least once a month. The apartments themselves are nice, the management just sucks.

This is an income based home for families. They have updated apartments, and they are pretty spacious. The only issue I had was with the maintenance guy, and the woman who did the paper work for the Wilcox Apartments. They are both very rude, and judgmental. The lady who worked there lied to the courts about me, which what she said was unfounded and false according to the courts. They walk in whenever they want to. And that makes me very uncomfortable. I dislike when people just walk into my home. They do not keep things confidential. Such as talking to other tenants about you. Which I have heard many times other tenants telling me what both of them were saying. It is very sad. This place is a GREAT place for families. It is just so sad to me because there is so much drama. So much drama I put in a 30 days notice and left in the middle of the month. I also have a child with Aspergers Syndrome which is a lower form of Autism. They were fixing an apartment above mine. They were careless, over loud, (They could have been quieter, but were uncaring.) and falsely accused me and my fiance of yelling at the workers upstairs. My son was so overwhelmed by their loudness and he was tired, he had thrown a fit and yelled up to the guys to stop. He was crying, and he did not understand why they were doing it. My son was only 3. So we got in trouble for my son having an attack because of his disability. I also got written up for my fiance smoking out of a pipe for tobacco. Was threatened to have the cops called on and my apartment searched. All because he doesn't smoke a cigarette, and chooses a pipe instead. The lady who does the paper work also talked to people about my child "Why doesn't he ever smile." We just found out that my son who turned two years old on the 11/24/12 also may have some sort of Autism. He is way behind other children. I just feel like my children and I having a disability was just hard to live at a place like this. I just hope the experience is well for others. And maybe this place hire some new staff. The ones there are horrible. ***I didn't put any names because at least I am confidential, and it isn't even my job to be!***
