“I ordered 2 oval matte black closet rods after measuring the distance between the walls myself and when they arrived one was a bit short. (They ask you to measure exact distance between the walls and they'll send the correct length rod) Unfortunately I was off by 1/4" (walls are not plumb) and that meant I got the wrong size rod. I called and they told me they would send another rod whatever length I wanted as long as I paid shipping. I thought that was very fair and the new rod arrived 2 days later and fits perfectly.”

I wish other establishments would have the respect and courtesy for their customers to not require a pointless - oxygen restricting mask - that has NO SAFETY benefits. “Usually we shop at a Home Depot closer to home, but whenever our local store doesn't have an item in stock, this location usually does. The store is clean and the staff is extremely helpful without being condescending. (as a woman, I often find this not to be the case at other Home Depot locations). Specifically Jay and Sal were very helpful. Other employees we walked past either asked us if we needed help or just pleasantly greeted us.”

“I was visiting family in Shirley, NY for the holiday and we were expecting more family for a lunch gathering. My son makes an amazing grilled chicken recipe but realized he wasn't sure if he had enough gas for his BBQ. I drove to Home Depot five minutes away with his empty tank & practically parked inside the Garden Center - hoping out of my car while employees were surprised where I parked. All I said was "Please! We're having family visit for Christmas Eve, they specifically requested grilled chicken but our BBQ doesn't have enough gas!" Without a question, the cashier, whose booth was almost inside my car, jumped into action calling for urgent assistance with gas tanks. Before I could even close my car door, a young man was on his way with a full gas tank. I don't think my car was in the Garden Center more than 4 minutes and I was on my way back home with the gas. The employees were great - sweet, jumped (really jumped!) into action and had my car and I out of the Garden Center lickity split. They are super heros in my book! Home Depot is lucky to have those employees, and if all their employees are trained like this, your visit would be nothing short of amazing.”

“Hi came into Lowe’s because I am renovating my home and I had the best experience I’ve ever had in any large store comparable to Lowe’s. It was super organized and the person that helped me was so knowledgeable on every product and what I needed I would describe the work being done and he told me exactly what they would need to do the work. I even picked up some extra items for my contractor. I signed up for a pro card To save money on my transaction and for future purchases as well. Adam Jackson was the most helpful sales representative I’ve ever had in my life. Keep in mind I was dreading this trip and it turned out to be so easy. I was in and out and off to my next errand. I wish all of my experience is in retail stores were like this. Great job Adam Jackson. Lowes is lucky to have you”

“I must share how beyond satisfied I am with the service I received from Mary Rose Bilello. She is the most efficient, kind, courteous and patient employee there at Lowe’s. I am just overwhelmed because in today’s world one does not get treated as a valued customer. She went above and beyond to help me pick out doors for my sliders going out to my sunroom. Although it turned out to be more money than I expected, I decided to go with this because Mary Rose made me feel very comfortable and genuinely cared about me and my purchase. “Was here today at the Shirley store to pick up 6 various items that fit in my shopping cart.As I got on a short line at self checkout, I had Mary ask me if she could help with scanning so I said sure.By the time she was done I had my card ready to swipe and was on my way in no time.I noticed she was doing that with other customers which showed she cared enough about helping move the line and not just watching like you see in other stores.Nice experience at the self checkout!”

For the most part it's got pretty much whatever you're looking for and while associates are not all over the place, you can usually find one within 5 to 10 minutes -- like I said, not the Best, but definitely NOT the worst -- Worth checking it out if you need something”
