Several days ago we purchased some furniture and attempted to use our debit card to pay for it. The cashier said it would only authorize $1000, so I removed my card and wrote a check for the total. The next day I saw the $1000 charge had been posted to my account. I called the furniture store and they insisted that the transaction had been voided, and suggested I call my bank. Melissa took my call and, after hearing what had happened, she took over. She sent a fax to the furniture store with proof of the transaction along with a letter explaining the situation. She then called and spoke with their representative to follow up; and when they still insisted the transaction had not happened she called me. Melissa filled out paperwork to dispute the charge and asked me to stop in and sign it.The next day, the money was back in my account! She really went the extra mile to resolve the situation and relieve my stress.
