The pub itself felt a little bit old and in need of a freshen up. The wait staff was great and made the experience of dinner pleasant. Pretty diverse menu options and food wasn't bad. I had a pesto cream sauce salmon which was tasty. Fine for a casual night out with friends but not necessarily a fine dining experience. The bar was a hum of activity.

St. Patrick festival..really good beers good choice of sweet and dry stouts. Corned beef and cabbage offering was VG+.

First time there with friends and the food wasn't good. Not enough meat on the sandwiches and steak had alot of fat on it.

Great spot to enjoy a meal. A huge list of beers and ales to choose from and a friendly staff to serve you. Situated in the historic Village of Montgomery near the Walkill River you will enjoy a stroll through the Village either before or after your repast.

I have to write this review in hopes that it helps the owners. I am in Walden a few times a year and it’s been more often lately because of family issues. The first time I came was in August and we sat at the bar. The Bartender working a that afternoon was fantastic to say the absolute least. I don’t recall her name but she was newer and she was tall with long blonde hair. She made us feel so welcome and carried conversation and seemed like she genuinely cared. When I sit at a bar I want conversation. Same with my husband and my friends that usually come with us. Not only did she give us great conversation but she also was on top of doing everything else, getting food, tending to other customers, answering the phone etc. there was about 5 other guys at the bar and they seemed like they were having a great time too. Fast forward to the beginning of January. I believe it was a Sunday we came in because football was on….the bartender seemed more intoxicated than anyone at the bar. Then we came in this past Friday and I did not feel like I was wanted at the bar. The one girl with long dark hair did not speak or say a word, she seemed miserable and I was not the only one at the bar thinking that. The couple next to us were saying the same thing. I feel bad for the bartender that was working with her. She seemed frustrated but was trying to make the best of the situation she was put in and trying to do so with a smile on her face. In my opinion if it’s a Friday or Saturday night you should have bartenders that are going to talk to you, smile and that are outgoing. I hope this helps this bar in some way because the food was great and the reason I’ve been coming back is because of the first bartender who served us that day. I hope we see her again soon so I can get her name.

Copperfield has great Irish pub food. I had a burger with onion rings on it and it was fantastic. The menu was large and there were ALOT of options. The whole party was very happy. Very good taste. The waffle fries were out of this world. The dinner service was friendly and could be a little quicker. The atmosphere has room to grow. Some of the seats and tables seem a bit older. The dinner menus themselves were a little damaged and the plastic special's menu standing on the table felt sticky.Overall, I would highly recommend Copperfields Kildare Pub for family dinners, especially if you'd like an adult beverage along with it.
