I was looking for electrolysis services. Funny thing there's a website that was inaccessible. Should have been my first clue. She talked me into laser. My face immediately formed bumps and the treated area tingled for at least 6 hours afterward. The next day, I had massive cysts on my face.

CHOP SHOP ! This was the worst experience of my life. The lady, whatever her name is, who did my eyebrows was extremely rude and kept tapping my head every time she wanted me to hold them for her to thread as if she doesn't have a mouth to tell me to hold. The she kept threading and cutting on my left eyebrow excessively. Come to find out when I look in the mirror, the corner of my left eyebrow is pretty much gone. Extremely arched and very thin. And when I pointed out the thinness of the left eyebrow she said it was already thin when my eyebrows are on my face every single day of my life I know for a fact my left eyebrow was not already "thin" for it too look like that. And even if it was, how come my right eyebrow looks fine ? Why not match it ? And it didn't matter what I said her excuse was "it was already thin. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I now have to walk around worrying about if my eyebrows are still filled in with pencil. Do not go here. Chop shop at its finest.

Review for hair services: Thelma is amazing! I happened to come across their Groupon two years ago and have been going to them ever since! My entire family has switched over to Thelma because of how great she cuts and blow dries hair. Only downside is because she is one person sometimes there can be a long wait. Other than that I highly recommend her! She is very sweet as well.

This is my go to place when it comes to eyebrows threading. The owner Simi does a great job with eyebrows. HOWEVER I went here for a haircut a few days ago because the salon that I usually go to was all booked up. I used a Groupon deal for a haircut, blow dryer and deep conditioning. It was honestly a HORRIBLE experience. I am not sure if it had to do with the fact that I used a groupon deal. When I presented the deal, I was told that you will have to pay EXTRA for the blow dryer since my hair length was longer which I was fine with (but this was not mentioned in the deal!). First for the shampoo and wash, the woman used COLD water to wash out my hair. I had to tell her to adjust the water temperature. Than she was so harsh with washing my hair, I had to literally tell her to stop and to go easy on my hair! All this + she got my back and sweater from the back all wet. The whole time I was sitting in that chair, my neck and my back were killing me because I was so uncomfortable and could not wait for her to get over with the wash. Than for the haircut, oh MY!! My hair cut came out so choppy and just NOT a flattering look. I have to go back to my regular salon to have my haircut fixed.

I have been going to Simi for about three years. One of the best, accommodating, affordable, professional, friendly beauty salons I have been to. I have gotten multiple complements on my eye brows. I have been to other places for electrolysis and laser, they are extremely overpriced and it didn't work. Once I started going to Simi, I was able to afford more sessions and it actually worked! If you're in the Nassau area, I recommend trying them. Couldn't be happier. Thank you.

This was not only the worst in terms of outcome but also the worst in terms of treatment/experience I've perhaps ever had at a salon. I feel like I'm giving it too much credit by calling it a salon. It's basically a threading place that decided to start doing hair & laser hair removal. To start, the place is totally shabby. I'm no snob, if the services had been great well then, shabby would be fine. I should have been more aware of how few hair colors they carried & the fact that my stylist asked the owner before every step & appeared to have no working knowledge about dying hair nor cutting hair but we'll get to that. When they picked out the color, I agreed it was a match. However when they took the 30% volume developer out of the cabinet, my gut said to say "No, use 20%." But I actually talked myself out of it because I thought "She's a professional & you've never worked with this brand of color." I regret thinking that now. I've now got roots 2 SHADES LIGHTER than the rest of my head! At first the owner agreed & asked me to come back Tuesday (this was Saturday) because, and I quote "We close at 7." Really? Even when your client looks like a skunk? The haircut was absolutely pathetic. I originally wanted about 2" off my ends (my hair is very long, one length all around), but when she showed me her perception of 2" I just said yes knowing I would need to get a 2nd haircut somewhere else. Her 2" was about 1/3". She didn't even comb the front of my hair forward to cut it, she combed it to the sides. Then it was time to pay. We had agreed in advance on the Groupon price, which I get 25% off of because I pay for Groupon Select. I told the owner I would pay for the cut & dry but not the color. SHE FLIPPED OUT! She starts yelling at me that "my type" wants everything for free & that she knew from the second I walked in I was "like this" (meaning wanting to cheat her). So she said, hysterically screaming at this point "We don't want your money! Just leave!" I then tried to tip the stylist $20 & the owner stopped me & said "No. We don't want your money." I thought to myself "Good because now I've got to pay someone else to fix this mess!" It was horrendous. I have NO idea how they have so many positive reviews. I swear that everything I've said here is 100% true. There are so many better places to go (like all of them).

I came with my wife to Simi Beauty Salon looking for hair removal. Simi is very Knowledgeable in laser hair removal treatment. As a men I vas very hesitant to do this treatment but thanks to simi, I learned that this was actually what I needed and was looking for. I am getting six sessions to remove my facial hair. There is some degree of pain but simi knows very well how to work around sensitive areas. The procedure was very quick and easy!!! I totally recommend Simi Beauty Salon!!! We will keep coming and getting other areas done!!

I went to Simi to get a haircut, Tania who cuts the hair seems very confident in cutting and destroying the hair. I showed her a pic of bob haircut and she said she is VERY professional at doing that cut in particular. She told her sister to wash my hair, her sister doesn't speak a word of English so she couldn't understand when I was telling her my back started to hurt the way she had me sitting down at the hair sink. Tania's sister didn't wash my hair properly from the back, they weren't even wet. Then Tania saw the picture of Bob haircut I had shown her in the beginning. She cuts my hair so unevenly and destroys my hair. When Simi the lady who owns the store saw it, looked surprised. she couldn't say a word. Simi is very gentle and knows what she's doing she's great at doing eyebrows and facials , but she has a bad hair dresser. I regret going to TANIA at Simi Beauty Salon. Girls please always go to YOUR hairdresser never go to anyone new. I regret every bit of it. My hair don't grow fast as well. So I messed up.

Simi is great but the person who works for her isnt. She literally burnt my scalp while blow drying despite warning her several times. I would not go here again.

I have been using Simi Salon for about a year now....I started with Laser hair removal and now I use this salon for everything!! The woman that work here are beyond talented and incredibly kind. I have NEVER been happier at a salon!!! My hair, thanks to Thania, is beautiful and thanks to Simi my skin has never looked or felt better. I love going to this salon!! Its fun and I always come out looking amazing!!!!!!!

I have been using Simi for my eyebrows for over 3 years , it's always been my favorite spot. Simi is the best at them , and the other women have gotten better and better. Unfortunately I will not be using them again. This is because in May I needed to get my hair cut and colored after growing it out for 2 years . My first thought was let me support a small business and go to Simi. My husband got me a gift card for Mother's Day and I went in. I showed the woman a picture of what I wanted and she said she could do it. The day of my appointment she said She might not be able to get the color but she will try ( 1st red flag). The style was a baylage. She began bleaching my hair and I noticed it was was not the same as when I have gotten a baylage elsewhere. Fast forward, my hair came out nothing like I had wanted even though during the process she said she could get the color not to worry. My roots were supposed to be dark brown almost black with a grey baylage . It came out some ugly blonde with a few grey highlights here and there, like an old blonde woman going grey. Nevermind my appointment started at 10:30 and I didn't leave until 4:30. I basically paid a professional price for something I could have done home In the bathroom. I came back an hour later saying It was not what I was wanted and it needed to be fixed. The whole time the hair dresser and owner were trying to change my mind , now Suddenly it was an ombré etc etc. I said I would settle for blond highlights but no... I came back a few days later and she put a darker toner over to make it brown and darken my roots. Again nothing like I wanted. Not even a month later the color washed out and my hair is a gross brassy color and so damaged. I went back and forth about Leaving this review but the damage done to my hair is inexcusable. After 2 years of growing it out before this I am sick over it. I will not return to this place. 3 stars for my eyebrows .

I decided to do highlights and let the professional do what she recommended for blonde highlights. I absolutely love it, Tania (hope I spelled it right) did a fantastic job. It's my 2nd time at Simi's and both times I've been very happy with Tania's work.
