First off, I and my friend were told we were shoplifters. We were stopped at the door and all that was told that there were two men with jackets on stuffed items in a bag. In the interim I was very upset. The guard let other people go by without checking their receipts yet we were fingered out because of an employee who did not give a great description of the people whom he saw. We were not the only two people in that store who had jackets on or coats. we went to the register the cashier took our stuff then another person packed it, in their plastic bags and we did not have any bags when we came into the store. My friend and I have been going there for almost 3 years now, not every week since we live far from it, but my friend liked the store. But, as the guard was walking away from me He slapped my hand and lied to the owners that he did not slap my hand.. When he slapped my hand for no reason as he was walking away I screamed, what the hell are you doing?, He assaulted me. My friend asked for a full refund on all the stuff he bought. The guard did apologize to me twice. first time I said all I want is an apology and the second time he came over to me without anyone around. But I am not going to let this go. I was totally embarrassed by this, and thinking now I may contact a lawyer. No should feel this way. If you can go somewhere else to shop do so.

Hours are amazing. Place is clean. My problem is outside the store... The parking lot is a mess. People stop randomly and sit or leave their car in non-parking spots along the one way entrance. There is nowhere to return your cart so they just float and roll all over crashing into cars.

I was approached by security stating i look suspicious. Wanted to check my purse for items. Was going to the store for years they showed me they don’t appreciate my business.

Good selection, but an expensive market. Was "randomly" selected to show my receipt and have my daughter's backpack searched by the "boss". I'm wondering if it's because of my skin color or because I dress differently? I was humiliated and don't think I will be returning to shop here.

Today I was shopping at Evergreen. I used to really enjoy shopping here. But one day their cashier cheated me. It was unpleasant. And today the huge guy at the exit wanted to look at my receipt. If I had known that he would then begin to unceremoniously pick through my purchases, I would have refused to show him my receipt. He acted like he was a cop and I was a thief who stole something from a store. Why did he think I would like it? Other customers passed by, but for some reason he chose me. When I asked him the reason, he said that my purchases were not packaged in branded bags. Is this really a reason to suspect me of stealing?? I felt terribly humiliated. When I left the store, he stopped another store employee passing by and said something to him, pointing his finger at me and laughing. This was the last straw. I went back to the store and returned everything I bought to them. There are other kosher stores in the area, and some of them have lower prices. I spent my hard earned money in another store. When I got home, I asked Google a question about how legitimate such humiliating checks are. It turns out that a store employee can ask me to show a receipt, but I am not required to do so. He needs a good reason to stop me, otherwise he will be in trouble with the justice system. I have no desire to shop at Evergreen anymore. And now not a single boor in any store will stop me anymore. Now I know my rights.

It’s usually crowded when I’m there and there are a lot of rude shoppers, but the selection is fantastic and the location is convenient.

It's a real supermarket, more to the mess production, they carry a lot items of multiple brands, beautiful fruits and vegetables also a separate section of many organic items at the fruits & veg's and in the fridge, full line of many companies meat poultry etc also prepared to have them ready to bar b q or to cook, full deli take out full and self served, with a sushi bar ? , ready sandwiches, salads, fish plates and more types of ready to eat plates, great customer service, unbeatable specials, seasonal items, fresh bakery by zishes delicious, carrying full line of healthy bakes as NO sugar, or made with spelt which makes ot very personal to each and everyone shopping there, a flower shop in house, full line of vitamins, besides all day to day groceries around the entire store...The traffic in and out is literally out of hands we could work out things because it's only becoming heavier, first I'd band those taxi ? of sitting right at the main, cause they block lots of passing vehicles and that slows down very much, and there are more way to make a better flow...

The kosher experience is life altering and a great way to eat! Meat is humanely slaughtered and constantly supervised to avoid contamination. You don't have to be born kosher to adopt kosher food.

Very good selection of items especially if one is kosher. The produce department has excellent quality. Plenty of cashiers and many have baggers. I now live too far for delivery but it was very convenient and they did not charge extra 25% like many of the larger chains

I don’t know what “Michael lewyn” was talking about in his review because the selection in evergreen gotta be Allot larger than that of pomegranate, evergreen kosher is double the size of the latter grocery. As an aside I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a large clean friendly and exclusively kosher supermarket.

NEVER ORDER FROM THIS SUPERMARKET!!!!!!!Everytime I have ordered in the past they only give me expired chicken or meat.I even called to complain because I got violently Ill from the chicken and had to throw everything out. Evergreens response was we are told to get rid of the food that is closest to expiring.THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN ASAP!!!!!!!
