STAY AWAY! Far far away from this bank! No one answers the phone, and you cannot leave a message even tho they say you can… NOT! I called the bank while I was in the bank, and no phone rang! I said this to the teller and she had no response! And forget the 800#… MINIMUM 40 minute wait time no matter when you call. Bank here at your own risk…. And it’s a risk

Worst bank EVER! Customer service is ZERO! Now they don't even pick up when you call... Hit 2 for customer rep, rings says hold on, plays music for 30 seconds then tells you to leave a voice mail!?! REALL? WOW Can't wait to get all my $$ out. This was the last straw.

Best bank managers.and very good bank experience..When they will see an issue with your account, they will not close it, they will just call you to notify you should fix it..?

Don’t use them. It’s impossible to get someone on the phone even as I’m trying to report fraudulent information, total disgrace

All these reviews sound like I used to, till I went to Chase. If you think this private bank is bad, go to one like Chase, get your money stolen, wait weeks to get it back, do this about twice a year, its fun every time, if I could go back to this bank, I would, and in one year if it is still around, going back to it.Trust me, go to Chase for one year, then you will feel the burn....

Sterling National Bank, Monroe, New York is very unprofessional and always bad experience dealing with the bank. Sterling National Bank should go out of business. Better off finding better bank to do business with.

It is a pleasure to deal with all the people at this bank, especially the tellers, who always have a smile and are eager to serve. Also, Russell Flynn, who is a delight to deal with, and never in a rush, but makes sure all questions are answered in an expedient manner, a man, who it is plain to see likes his job very much ! Other banks could learn from this banks customer relations !

Banks exist to collect money from their customers and provide services, acounts, money markets, interest, loans, etc. But what if they don't really care about their customers? Unfortunately, I have to conclude that this is the case with Sterling bank in Monroe. I've gone to the customer service part of this bank with several problems over the last few years. Two out of three times, I got adequate service, with a knowledgeable customer service person. This time, I came in and was asked within five minutes what I was doing there, which was to set up a savings and get some help with electronic banking. Another five minutes passed, while I watched the CSR's banter with the customer ahead of me. Then another five minutes. A teller came by and asked what I needed. I told her. Was assured that someone would be there to help soon. Another five minutes passed. Are you keeping count? I was trying not to. Another five and I put a limit on it. They got five more minutes. Five minutes passed. Now we're up to a half hour waiting to open up my measly little savings. I'm out. Some practical questions for this bank. You had three people in this part of the office. Two were shooting the s*** with the customer preceding me. The other was tapping away in his office. Why did it take a half hour of waiting with only one out of three people working? And why did it take so long to do business with the preceding customer? Was he asking about estate matters? It certainly didn't look like it. I worked in banking in the bad old days. It took me exactly 15 minutes to set up three accounts. Manually. Without a computer. With the customer signing off on everything. Loan work? Took even less time. Got a coupla hours? Go here! Wanna read thru ragged copies of New York magazine on your afternoon off? Go nuts. Wanna observe how a detached modern plugged-in bank ignores their customers? Sterling Bank in Monroe is waiting for you.
