This place has been under construction for years, it's a disgrace. Don't stop here for bathrooms or anything, it's a disgusting tiny parking lot that smells like the septic system at an all you can eat buffet. Do better or just close this dump

What a dirty dismal place! The ladies room is broken and filthy. There was actually a service attendant in there, not cleaning, just talking on her phone. The businesses inside are essentially closed. I hope our taxes and tolls aren't going toward this place.

Get ready for this rest stop to be closed soon.
Fast food venues are already closed. There is a convenience store opened. I was happy to be able to use an indoor bathroom unlike other restaurants stops with just port a potties.

Of the probably 1000+ times I've stopped here I've never seen this amazing piece of art. Picasso

This rest area is still under construction and disfunctional. It's better than a porta potty, although the bathrooms have a lot of "out of order" signs. Not many food options either. It worked for the need.

The Modena travel rest area off I-87 South is an absolute disaster. The place is filthy, with horrible amenities, and everything is ridiculously overpriced. I understand that rest areas and convenience spots like this usually come with a premium, but the price gouging here is outrageous—like a bag of M&Ms that would typically cost around $2 at a Cumberland Farms convenience store was priced at $6. It’s disheartening to see such blatant overpricing.
The biggest issue, however, was the cleanliness. The bathrooms were so filthy I didn’t want to touch anything. I immediately used hand sanitizer as soon as I got back to my car. The sinks looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since they were installed. As for food, the only prepared option was a dirty food truck that I wouldn’t even consider feeding pigs from.
Overall, this rest area is a total disaster. New York State, do better. On a somewhat positive note, there is a full-service gas station and one fast charger—though it’s not really that fast—so maybe that’s not much of a positive, but at least it’s there.

Looks very dilapidated. Probably going to renovate soon.
