Gilberta is the best. Perfect example on how patients should be treated and serviced.. I have always used Quest Diagnostics of Mineola.. would recommend people to go there..
5 stars is for Gilberta ‘s caring and professional service:))

This place is a joke they require you “make” an appt to drop off a specimen. Where they are not doing anything besides taking the bag from your hand and then on top of it they have an attitude as well. When you tell them you’re there solely to drop something off!!

My daughter had an appointment and she is only two years old. The lady named June R in Mineola, New York was very rude. Once she had called our name to the room. I had already felt like she just didnt want to be bothered, but either way, my daughter is only two and, she tied the rubber band really tight and of course, my daughter is only two years old. She had left the room. She came right back. She started adjusting the needles like she wasn’t ready, and my daughter was like already crying. I had mentioned to her that if she wasn’t ready if we can take the rubber band off because my daughter was uncomfortable, and she never answered me when she finally got ready she kept telling me how to hold her, which is not a problem, but then she kept telling me to tell my two year old to make a fist knowing that her arm was already red from the rubber band being so tight. She Literally kept telling me over and over again about four or five times to tell her to make a fist as if my little toddler was going to do that knowing that she was already Uncomfortable and in pain. she wasn’t kid friendly she was annoyed the whole time very rough very rude when we got out of there I had to even had to takeoff the tape that she tied around her arm really tight With the cotton ball and literally only left it like a small Band-Aid .we have went to quest before with my Little one in Freeport and they were just so good to her last year. This year, we just decided to try the Mineola Quest and it wasn’t a good idea

They need to hire better staff or hire more. They take forever to draw blood work and giving no update for waiting time.

We came here for my 18 month old to get his blood drawn. Now I’ve been to 2 other locations and was referred here as they deal with children more. The 2 other locations could find his vein which makes sense because he’s 18 months old and the doctor put a note that it’s okay to get blood from his fingertips. There are two people that work here, one is an older lady she’s very kind and patient. And there’s a guy there who’s extremely rude impatient and doesn’t know how to work with little children. From the beginning he was so rude with a nasty attitude. I told him the prior experience and that the doctor PUT A NOTE saying IF NO VEIN FINGERTIPS is fine. But this guy insisted and ignored what I told him and tried to find blood. Even when he didn’t find it, he still poked my 18 month old KNOWING THERE WASNT ANY VEIN. Please avoid this place at all costs. Please do yourselves a favor .

As soon as I walked in an employee was already raising their voice at a patient and when she matched his energy he went on the defensive and started telling her to calm down or he wasn’t going to help her. It’s ridiculous that NYU locations aren’t able to get you labs done when you visit your PCP and we have to take more time off to visit this place at a later date. I had a appointment with my pcp at the new NYU location at 1111 Franklin Ave and it seemed liked they rushed the opening because they didn’t have labs set up and running so I had to come to Quest to get my labs done. Poor service and miserable employees that are just on a power trip. Especially with older patients who need the extra help and have difficult time sometimes. I hope I don’t have to return anytime soon or require their at location services.

Horrible, horrible customer service.Apparently the employees wanted a short day on the Friday before New Year’s (which is MONDAY) because they refused to deal with any walk-ins EVEN THOUGH they weren’t busy at all. Sitting in the back room chattering.Had one patient in the treatment room for over an hour - probably to spite the roomful of people in the waiting room. Two of the three employees left at noon - never to return.Have never had this problem here before, but not giving them another chance to treat us like this ever again.

I love Ms Gilbert! I only can get blood drawn on one arm and she gets it every time. In the past some of my Dr's techs would stick me 4 times! She truly enjoys her job. That's what a professional is about, loving what they do.

Made an appointment, checked in early - waited 30 minutes past my appointment time and was never acknowledged. Had to leave for another appointment. Waiting room is small, crowded, dirty and non-ventilated.

I made an appointment and I was there early. A person that walked in late for their appointment was permitted to go before me. I was on a very tight schedule and had to leave.
