Nice place to live, neighbors were quiet but friendly, management was always responsive if I had questions, maintenance addresses tickets quickly

I guess everything happens for a reason because after seeing these reviews about huge roaches maybe it’s a blessing in disguise what happened to me . So I was given a 1:20 appointment- my lunch break. An email was sent with directions & a number to call in case you can’t find the place because- you can’t find the place unless you live there . So I arrive at 1:00. Drive for 10 minutes park, then walk another 15 minutes meanwhile it’s 90 degrees outside, I’m calling the number on the email- no answer ! I ask tenants that were outside- they don’t know When I finally reach someone it was time for me to go back to work . I should have kept my original appointment with another place I looked. That is not how you conduct business. Went back to work feeling sick & dizzy . Never again

We stayed at Eagle Rock in Mineola for a little under a year, while our house was under construction. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience. We felt home, and the staff made us feel welcome. Linda at the office was very accommodating, and the maintenance crew was very responsive. Oscar fixed things promptly and neatly. One thing that could use an improvement was the laundry area, where machines were out of repair often, but overall no big deal. In the warmer spring weather, there were some ants coming in from the outside, but that was taken care of promptly. There were no cockroaches as some reviews note, but occasional water bugs (which look a bit like big roaches) in the laundry area. Again, that was no big deal and taken care of right away. Any complaint or issue was addressed promptly. There were many life-long residents there, and we made some good friends with quite a few. They have ample parking. No problem with deliveries, either packages or food. Located in a very safe neighborhood and close to everything, including huge Stop and Shop, Roosevelt Field Mall, stores, and many nice restaurants. I’d definitely recommend this Eagle Rock location to anyone looking short- or long-term living.

I lived here for three years and overall had a very positive experience. Linda and the maintenance staff were true rock stars during my stay - I can't say enough good things about them. We lived in a freshly renovated 2 bedroom/1.5 bathroom and were impressed by the quality of the unit. There are tons of things within walking distance, including a grocery store, restaurants, and a hair salon. Snow removal is also very prompt, and I found rent to be reasonable. If you're a runner, the neighborhood is very jogger-friendly.
I will say that some of the drawbacks mentioned in the other reviews are correct. The laundry rooms definitely could use additional washers and dryers, and by god. The roaches. They would pop up without fail in spring and we'd have to call the exterminator every year to spray. That fixed the issue until the next year, but there would always be at least one or two of their little corpses in the laundry rooms. I suppose it's part of living so close to the city, and they were always quick about remedying the problem, so thumbs up for that.
Overall, I would recommend Eagle Rock Mineola, but with the above caveats mentioned. I gave it some thought, and the vermin are absolutely worth living next door to Ikedo Ramen. If you move here, go check them out. I was putting at least one of those kids through college.

The apartment was great lived there a year, no problems, but getting the apartment was a hassle. Even with co-signers they said we didn’t make enough money with multiple forms of income and then for each co-signer had to pay application fees! And they almost didn’t want to accept us!

Linda and the maintenance team have been outstanding. So much so I am renewing my lease. The only issue is parking near my apartment in the evenings, which is available at the end of the property. The property grounds are well maintained. I have had a few other issues, which have been quickly addressed, and I am extremely satisfied.

The apartments have roaches and broken ovens they refuse to fix for 14 months! Don’t rent here…

When I was living there, I had to deal with the things mentioned on this board, like roaches (BIG ONES), noises from neighboring apartments…even low-level talking can be heard. I often had to do my laundry elsewhere due to the lack of machines. A good number of times I came out to about 8 – 10 inches of water around the car. I had to run back to get my boots! Thank goodness it didn’t leak into the car! There were many dog walkers that didn’t clean it up. An older gentleman did tip me off about Section 8 being accepted there…WHICH FILLED ME WITH DREAD! RENTER BEWARE!

Just moved in here a couple of weeks ago. We needed the apartment quickly, and Linda at the leasing office was extremely helpful in every step of the process. She was very responsive, and responded to our emails even on her holidays, and worked with her corporate office to expedite and to ensure things go smoothly. Also, we had a few maintenance items, and they were all taken care of very quickly by Oscar and Denis. I found everyone in the staff to be friendly and tried to help. So far, our experience has been positive.

Do not move here. The apartments are poorly made with cheap materials and when something broke in my apartment I was charged hundreds of dollars for the repairs. The office was not helpful or receptive and the repairs took weeks to get done.

Was in dire straights to find a new apartment and the team at the Mineola location (Linda and Toni) were so accommodating and understanding of my situation. They went far beyond expectations to communicate and help me out when I needed it most.

a little over a year ago I applied for the apartments ,I didn’t have a great experience, so I seen they had an apartment available for rent at 1800-1900 in that range, I decided to give it another chance .I went online and booked for a tourI got to the apartment complex & I walked all over because I could not find the leasing office, when I called no one picked up the phone so I was to find it on my ownWhen I found the leasing office, the older woman did not allow me inside she asked me questions from behind a half closed door , I told her I had an appointmentThey “canceled” my appointment and said I read the message that came from them .I rebooked the appointment , I didn’t want issues. Then I explained to her my situation from last time. She claimed my application was not approved because I don’t make enough money.I said that amount has changed and I told her a number she told me I still don’t make enoughThis entire conversation happened in the hallway where neighbors could hearIt gave off (your black and I don’t want you to live here)Very unfortunate being a college grade with phenomenal credentials to be treated as such

Management strung me along for 3 weeks going back and forth about documentation needed to send my application to corporate, told them in advance I had to be out by August 1st. I sent them all the documents they required but they continuously found something else that they “needed” that I would have to run around crazy to get. Went and saw the apartment they told me my children weren’t allowed to play in one of the many courtyards they have, mind you there’s seating and waterfalls. They also told me there was no grilling on the property, meanwhile they have 2 custom stone grills built in the public areas and several different fire pits. Anyways it turns out before they even had all the documentation they “required” someone forwarded my incomplete application to corporate and I wasn’t approved because I don’t make enough money. Really interesting to find out 150k isn’t enough money for these people considering I know a family that just moved in and makes less than I do but was approved and needed less documentation than I. Something about these fools is extremely shady, don’t waste your time. I spent 350$ getting vaccinations my vet said my dog didn’t need but these people required. Look elsewhere these people are crooks.

Do not be fooled by the fake 5 star reviews, they delete the real ones. ALL apartments have roaches and mice no matter how clean you are. They have exterminators come MONTHLY. "Ashley" is only helpful when you first move in but for months she has not answered any of my emails/concerns. For example, our neighbor decided to have a mental breakdown one day and throw a glass picture frame outside all over our steps and when we emailed her to have someone clean it up since i couldnt even leave my house she ignored me like always. Instead my elderly mother had to sweep it up and it is still there till this day. We also pay $100 for a parking spot which was once a visitor spot but you know they are money hungry over here. Yet cars still park in front and behind our spot FOR FREE and prevent us from entering our trunk. Emailed "ashley" multiple times and still no response. Considering she lives in the community and sees all of this, it's funny how she chooses to ignore it. It is way too expensive for the way we are living. Don't even get me started on the way they force you to decide if you are leaving or staying months before your lease is up and if you do not tell them by the date they choose they TAKE YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. They let us know the end of February and gave us two weeks so unfortunately we are stuck here another year being miserable

Unfortunately, we were discriminated at this place when we wanted to tour a unit. We weren't even able to see the place because, supposedly, the only unit left was too expensive for us, which was weird considering there was conflicting information online. I told my coworker about it and he did me a favor and pretended to be interested in the place. There we found out we were lied to several times. Not only was the unit in our price range, there were also multiple units available. Disappointing but after going through some of these reviews, maybe we dodged a bullet.
