Once again, after researching boots for weeks, I walked out with something I didn't even consider. Nick and co. Showed me what I wanted to see, but then improved dramatically on what I thought I wanted. I wanted side zip boots. Walked out with the king toe BOA easy dial, and after a week, of wearing these, it's my new favorite thing. These are more comfortable than my last style, and have the ease of keeping them loose while driving and not tripping on my laces when I get out. Grand slam once again Nick. Ty so much.

I’ve shopped this store with my son who wears Orthocics they have always been very helpful. After my raving how great they are I bring a friend that has some problems finding the RIGHT shoes. We explained what the issues were and the woman never came out from behind the desk. She said you have to just try them on and see.. they are Velcro. I was upset and embarrassed. We left with nothing so they lost 2 sales today,( hers and mine) and probably a customer. I shop small business for the customer service .. today I was.VERY DISAPPOINTED

I come here (and, next door, to the Red Wing store) because of Lenny. I need a big sole build up, and Lenny is the absolute best at it.

I've been coming here for years for shoe repair/maintenance services. Everyone here is very pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable; Jesse helps me a majority of the time. "The Shoe Fits" has taken shoes/boots that are years old and are beat, worn or broken and made them look brand new for a super reasonable price. Family owned and operated, quality work/products, pleasant staff, you can't go wrong with "The Shoe Fits!"

They helped me find the perfect shoe for work and tried multiple shoes with me until we found the perfect fit! The customer service alone is worth it!! So pleased and so excited to wear my new work shoes!! Thank you so much to everyone at The Shoe Fits! I come from a family run small business and it's nice to be treated with kindness and good customer service and also receive a great product. They really care about finding what's right for you.

For the last decade I've had the great pleasure of receiving the finest cobbling craftsmanship in America. I require 3 cm lift on my left boot and here's an example of how it sometimes goes; redwing shoes and boots does the work in house, I received the boots and they're virtually unwearable due to extremely poor craftsmanship, at which point I take them back to the red wing shoe store and they send them to the A-Team ....- Lenny Passiglia @ The Shoe Fits. When I receive the boots back from The Shoe Fits, they are perfect! I am fortunate to have this craftsmanship still available. Thank you Lenny for all your fine work.

Working with Lenny, Jesse and Family has been a great experience! My Dad started using Lenny's Father back in the 70's. That's when the store was in Port Jefferson. My husband and I started in 1984! The personality has not changed only the selection has gotten bigger. Thanks to everyone in Miller Place!!!!!

I have taken a number of leather goods here for repair. The first was a Madewell handbag that came with defective hardware (a lobster clasp that was constantly coming undone). I emailed Madewell about this and they approved up to $50 of repair that they would reimburse me for once I sent them my receipt, so I brought my bag to The Shoe Fits based on the fact that they have been around for a long while and they have good reviews working with leather. A very nice woman informed me she would not be able to get the exact same hardware but it would be a similar piece that she would use with a matching bronze finish. About a week later, I got the bag back and the results were wonderful! The repair involved undo-ing the stitching on the leather strap, putting in the new lobster claw clasp, and then stitching the leather strap again, and the results are beautiful and professional, you can't even tell it wasn't made that was from the start. The repair was about $40 (for two lobster claw clasps), which was ultimately absorbed by Madewell. Then I brought two pairs of leather boots. My brown Frye boots had the heels worn down and were very scuffed up. My black Italian made boots had unfortunately been worn past the heel into the heel base (was a total mess). The man who I spoke to at The Shoe Fits recommended not only replacing the heels but also putting on new soles at the forefoot for better traction as everything was pretty heavily worn. It was $110 for both pairs, took a week, and everything looks brand new as you can see in the photos. I should have taken a "before picture." I think the black boots were $65 because they had to do the work on the heel base as well as add the new heels and rubber soles; the brown boots were $45 for heels and rubber soles. The scuffs and scratches were also cleaned up. I am very satisfied with the quality of work, pricing, efficiency, and communication, would highly recommend, and will be back for future repairs. It's worth the investment if you have good quality leather as these boots will last me decades!

I've been going to The Shoe Fits for a number of years. I must say the service has been going down hill. Some months ago, I had a simple heel lift put on my wife's pump and it immediately fell out. It seems the immediate family is no longer as involved and the service decline shows. I went last week and spoke with two women behind the counter who were tripping over each other. I asked a repair question and they both went to the back to consult with the repairman. They came out and told me that what I asked for could not be done. I then asked a follow up question and without the courtesy of even asking the shoe repair man, they responded that it too could not be done. How frustrating. It was as if they were afraid to approach "the great and powerful Oz" who sat in the back room! It was laughable! Anyway, I took my shoes to Lenny's Shoe Repair in Port Jeff Station and he made the repair in two days! The repair is perfect.
