New to the area, I chose to have my hair cut at Lu Zaks after reading a good review. I was not disappointed! Darlene gave me an excellent cut. She listened to my preferences and took lots of time to carefully do the job. Later someone asked me where I got my hair cut! Darlene is personable as well.

Darlene is great - better than many stylists who have cut my hair at top salons in NYC. She takes the time to understand her clients and what they want from their hair (in terms of style, convenience, etc). I went to her expecting that I would need to chop off several inches in order to get rid of excessive layers that weren't working with my hair. After chatting with me about why the style didn't suit my needs, she suggested a different approach, leaving me with a fantastic new cut plus the length I loved. She also threw in a free deep conditioning and a cup of tea!

I've tried a few other hair salons in the area and wasn't half as impressed with the cut I got at Lu Zaks! She gave me so much time and attention, and was really attentive to everything I asked for - she even allowed me a few minutes here and there to see if I was comfortable with the new cut and adjusted it accordingly. All my friends want to go get their hair cut here now :) Highly recommend!
