Ive been getting my hair colored cut and styles by Lexi at Middletown Ulta for almost a year or llnger. She is THE BEST. Im always so theilled with the results every time I go see Lexi. She also recommends hair care products hat Ive gotten & love. 5 star review

Well stocked and very friendly staff! I showed the manager, Olivia, an inspiration photo for how I wanted to do my makeup for my sisters wedding and she walked me all around the store showing me what I needed and how to use it. Extremely helpful!

Service is pretty hit or miss - one day, whoever’s around might be amazing, another, they’ll leave you standing on the floor for 20+ minutes waiting for help (for items locked behind a display for example) that’ll never come.
If you’re grabbing something to go, you’re all good. If you need something from fragrances, have any questions at all or need something like a shade match consult, go somewhere else.

I love Ulta I am a diamond member and spend lots of money there every year but for some reason every once in a while there’s always an issue in the Middletown store. Today I went in because I seen the deal for self tanner. It was buy one get one 50% off. As I was checking out I had 4 different pretty expensive self tanners, I thought all of them applied for the deal but joy told me they did not. I told her it was okay and bought them at full price anyway and when I was done I went back to look at the sign… some of them were buy one get 1 50% off and some came with a free gifts. It was very confusing because all the signs were right next to each other. But that’s fine. I didn’t mind that but then I went up and asked if they ran out of the free gifts because I should’ve received the free gift with the two self tanners I bought. I asked Allison who was up there at the time and she just seemed very rude. She said yes, they did have more and I told her I should’ve received it with my order and I went in the front of the counter. She said this is not the end of the line. I told her I already made my purchase. I didn’t receive the free gift and she told me multiple times she didn’t know Because she didn’t check me out, even though I was trying to show her my receipt and then she told me that she doesn’t even work the register. Joy said it didn’t pop up on her screen when checking out that I should’ve got a free gift so they called somebody else up to the front. Nobody ever came to the front and I was sitting there waiting. Allison finally called me over signed into the register that she said she wasn’t doing and told me to put my number in and she could give me the gift. I know it doesn’t seem that serious and it’s really not but I have witnessed her being rude multiple times now and it’s just not OK. If I should’ve received a free gift and I’m asking for it. I shouldn’t have to feel awkward or get an attitude , because at the end of the day, I’m entitled to It.

For starters, the atmosphere at this location is incredibly welcoming, which is also evident through their excellent customer service. I had the pleasure of being assisted by an employee named Joy, who helped me choose a few items for my senior prom makeup look. She was a tremendous help and put me at ease, as I was initially stressed about how my makeup would turn out for the event. Five stars for sure, this location NEVER disappoints!!

Poor very poor customer service
Asked an associate for some help she didn't help me she continued to do what she was doing the garbage . Will never return. Will find a next ulta beauty to go to

The absolute worst hair experience I have ever had. My appointment was for all over color. When I went in and showed the stylist (Maya) the inspiration picture she told me that what it would actually be was full highlights. I said whatever needs to be done. She doesn’t hair with never being able to see the mirror, washes tones blow drys curls and spins me around. I immediately see that my roots are a different color that the rest of my hair and I say something. She tell me I would have had to ask to have my roots done and it would’ve been an extra charge. So, let me get this straight, you do full highlights starting about 2 inches from my scalp bleach then tone and I would have had to ask for my roots?!?! How was I supposed to know my hair would be bleached and then toned darker than my roots - I wouldn’t know because you didn’t color my hair the color I asked for. When speaking to the manager Zoe I was told, what we can do for you is have you come back another day to get your roots done and I’ll give you a discount. Also, the $47 haircut apparently only includes the back of your hair because she never cut the front and sides. So for a total of $174 dollars you too can get messed up color and a partial haircut.

most racist experience and will commit a hate crime on your hair. don’t recommend. they damaged my hair for no reason, I walked in a blonde and was promised a bright blonde like I normally get and that the stylist is “definitely able to do”. she (LEXI) waited until the bleach was on my hair to say “I can’t do the blonde” I ask for a manager and the manager is being rude and standoffish. (I HAVE VIDEO EVIDENCE of everything that happened in case they try to deny anything.) the stylist LEXI walks away and leaves me with bleach on my head for the rest of the session and after over 20 minutes a different stylist TAYLOR comes over because she was instructed by them to complete my hair. She gives me black/brown hair. No where near anything I requested or what I had prior. They’re laughing, gossiping, and chatting among themselves and I hear them. I had told Lexi I felt safer being blonde and less targeted/noticed because I work on a military base and I’m Arab Muslim. I called the police showed them the evidence and filed a police report. Please be cautious racists are here and they will say and do anything to get away with messing your hair up.

Went to ulta in Middletown twice today 1.25.24 the customer service was horrible it took me forever to get help with a perfume I wanted to buy the 1st time I went in i got no help I decided to come bck later & got ignored for a 30 mins when I finally did get it i asked a girl at the front desk about a coupon I had she told me she was unable to help me honestly I wouldnt recommend shopping here the customer service sucks :(

I came back to Ulta after years and had a hair highlight appt that took 3 hours. I was disappointed to find out toward the end that I had to pay extra to get my hair blown out. Staff was quick to offer other add on services but the hair blown out part was left for the end. In all the years I’ve been getting my hair done, getting a blowout was included; not here. They just quickly “blow dry” your hair with the their fingers, no brush! So the results and expectations I had to love how my hair came out were out the widow. You should tell your staff to inform of your up-charges at the beginning of the appointment so people aren’t dissatisfied as I was. Needless to say, I’m not coming back.

I just had such a horrible customer service experience just now. I called to do a pickup order and right away they put me on hold. So while I was on hold I put I arrived to the store for my pickup. The girl finally answers and she asked me am I here for a pickup order and did I put I was here through the app. I said yes but I told her I tried calling first and I was out on hold and she told me well we’re busy that’s what’s taking so long and she comes out and tells me by the way you just put the order in. I told her I know but I called first and I was on hold for a while. Then again she tells me she was busy. So I told her while I was on hold I put the order in that I was here because I didn’t know how long I would be on hold but either way even if I didn’t you can still call and say you’re here and you can still bring it out. She was like no technically you’re supposed to put it in the app and I was like what I used to work at Ulta I know for a fact you can call and still bring it out. So then I told her let me check my bag first before you go and she said well I know that, that’s policy. I was like wow what’s with the attitude are you a manager and she said actually I am. I was like wow that’s horrible and with the way you’re talking to me and as a customer you should not be a manager. She then says wow is everything ok in there there’s a lot going on with you. I literally told her I was going to call and report her and I told her to leave and go back inside because her behavior was disgusting, immature and childish. When I tell you I’m so shocked with how I was treated that’s one of the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. She was very unprofessional, rude and very belittling. She did not give her name. She had short hair and glasses.
