I had a major confrontation upon returning my truck, do NOT stay in your truck as signage indicates. Go inside. Under zero circumstances should you interrupt a representative while they are speaking to another customer regardless of if you were there first. I’m only giving this place any stars because the manager did half heartedly apologize and we half reconciled. Unsure if I want to give them a second chance.

Daniel was super rude and has no respect for customers. Walked in and greeted him Good morning he ignored me, after checking out I said thanks dude didn’t say nothing to me. If you don’t feel like waking up in the morning with a smile and coming to why do you even show up. His overall attitude was unacceptable.

This has been my worst experience with U-Haul. I booked my unit online the morning of 08/01. I made 2 trips to the unit during store hours, and both times I had to connect with the desk agents to gain access to the unit. My code was changed multiple times, and I was not informed of the new codes. I was given multiple access cards, and at this point I am not even sure if the card currently in my possession is the card that should allow access to the unit. The evening of 08/01, I arrived to drop off a final load for storage at about 9:00pm. I attempted to call the general manager, Jimmy Coscette, no less than 20 times using the number listed on the door (845-741-9077) between 9:15 and 10:30, and I texted the number four times between 9:14 and 10:00pm. We were on the phone with U-Haul customer support for at least 45 minutes, and while they were able to assist with providing us codes we still could not gain access. The U-Haul agent also attempted to contact Jimmy, and they were unable to reach him. I contacted Maximum, they were able to provide my code for access, but I was still unable to gain entry with the code they provided. Maximum also tried calling Jimmy as well as the district office without success. I was on a time constraint and had to begin my trip that evening to arrive at my destination because we were supposed to attend a funeral for one of my family members, so I had to throw hundreds of dollars in worth of my own possessions away instead of storing them in the unit. I contacted the district office the evening of 08/01 and let them know how upsetting this has been and that we needed someone to reach out, and we have yet to receive a response. This has been a horrible experience and I would never recommend storing with U-Haul to anyone I know based on the poor level of customer service and lack of ability to gain assistance when it was needed.

Set an appointment to pick up a large order of different boxes. I arrived on time to find your lot full of trucks blocking the parking area and front door.I get inside to find out nothing was ready and had to be picked.Only 2 guys working the counter and 1 decides to hang out in the parking lot.Trying to get items myself, a storm comes in causing everything to get soaked. I didn’t get everything I ordered and now I have all of the boxes soaked. What a waste of $200!!!!!

Picked up the trailer and when I returned it down south I was informed that I was way overcharged for the price. After multiple calls no response from uhaul Middletown. Never go there again. FINALLY GOT A CALL BACK FROM MANAGER AFTER MANY CALLS, THE MANAGER INSULTS ME BY OFFERING 50.00 OFF THE BILL. WE WERE RIPPED OFF BY UHAUL. WAY OVER CHARGED FOR OLD EQUIPMENT. DO NOT GO THERE.

Poor management rude and trucks are dirty steal money ? and charge for extra gas that was already put in the truck terrible service I only give to stars because sometimes you will meet the 1 nice person

I ordered a hitch online, and it was half an inch off. I didn't want to drill a bigger hole so it won't rust as fast. Had to return it. I removed the tire and exhaust to get to the one side of the frame. I did all that work for nothing ?I didn't want to deal with it anymore.I went to uhaul to get a quote, and they were very fair in price a few dollars more than eBay. It's a 20$ difference.Payed for labor and didn't have to do it again. I'm glad I went in to get the job done!I had a hitch installed here they did the job nice and clean. I also purchased a ball hitch as well, and the guy helped me fip the ball on it to get it elevated a little more to make my trailer level cleaver idea ? I could have done that but they just took care of it for me with in 5 minutes.3/15/23Thank you guys from uhaul.

They took my reservation and payment for a hitch install a week in advance for an install on Sunday. Waiting till Friday at 2pm to call and tell me they don't do hitch installs any times besides 8-3 Monday to Friday and that my reservation would not be honored. They made zero effort to rectify accommodate and we're frankly uncaring and borderline rude. Won't be doing business with them in the future
