Not good service I had rear brakes done

Made an appointment well in advance to have suspension service covered by CarShield (they are an "approved" CarShield shop). When I arrived at 9AM for my appointment, I sat until 10:15 AM until they took my car in, and watched them take several walk-ins ahead of my longstanding appointment. I sat in that shop for SIX HOURS on my only day off from work (without complaining or saying a word, might I add) before they told me that they couldn't get the correct part and that I would have to come back. After repeated phone calls, Sean - who is incredibly rude, evasive, and difficult to deal with - eventually stated today, a week later, that he "didn't want to deal with this" and refused to take the pictures and diagnostic that CarShield requested to cover my claim, telling me there was nothing more he could do for me and ended the conversation. CarShield has informed me that Sean never even submitted a claim to them. What an absolute nightmare and I caution anyone who is considering using this shop for anything at all.

What a miserable experience.
2.5 hours to put 4 new tires on, align the car and change the oil.
Not a friendly person in the place, I kept expecting someone to commit hari kari.
What is making the employees here act so miserably? Are smiles and manners extra cost items?
This is the first time I've ever left an automotive tech shop without leaving a tip.

If you have a disability which grants you a NYS DMV permit for window tint exemption — don’t bother going there to try and get an inspection. They’ll likely say to you exactly what they said to me and my significant other. “Wont pass cant see through the windows” - from the counter inside the building & when I said I have the DMV exemption for window tints was still told no, it took me saying it’s passed with window tints for the last 7 years that he got up and went outside to see my proof, he then allowed the person who performs the inspections to do it. However my significant other was told that he cant have it inspected because of the windshield tint. -The same person who knew two days prior he had the window tint exemption and all windows including the windshield done. The attached photo shows that it is in fact EXEMPT from Section 375(12-a)(b) of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Despite having a valid NYS tint exemption for medical purposes, refused to do the inspection. But they let me schedule the inspection and were told about the tint exemption at that time. Nothing like discriminating against people with disabilities.

I needed an oil change and they were running an hour behind and I had an appointment but they had me out within an hour. I always go there to get my car serviced and they never fail me!! Great customer service and customer experience !!! Thank you !!

Don’t waste your time here, they said they were open and appointments were available. It wasn’t until I made it to the location that I was notified nobody was working. A complete waste of time!!!

It was a bad experience. I went for two tires and an alignment and they told me I needed a replacement and I accepted the price and I was waiting for 3 hours, almost 4, and when I asked if they were working on my car, they practically ran me out. They only sold me the tires and they didn't. He asked me the complete job just for asking if I had already seen my car with the new part on it. My question was obvious and it practically ran away from me. He only benefited from selling me the tires and he didn't finish the complete job. It's not correct.

This place is awful , I have been here a few times and no mechanic can do anything , I make a appointment 2 weeks in advance and when I get there they tell me they do not do inspections on Sundays and no phone call to tell me this . I give up I will drive to New York City to a mechanic

The customer service I received was phenomenal. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and shout out to Sean, he was amazing. I went in for a brake inspection was given feedback and they were more concerned about my tires being replaced since they were going bad. The night before my appointment I've gotten two flats, and had to get my car tow to their shop. They understood my situation and took care of me. This is my go to shop for now on and I couldn't be happier.

Friday night I hit a pothole and ruined my tire. So, the following day I drove around Middletown for about an hr looking for someone to help me place a full spare on. Every shop I went to told me how busy they were and how they couldn’t help. FINALLY I go into Monro shop and John (pretty sure that was his name) explained to me how busy they were, but that they can help me. He asked me to leave the car but quickly realized I didn’t have a way around for the car to be dropped off. John told me that they will mount the tire and then call me when they are ready to place. A couple of hrs later i got the phone call and as soon as I get there - car is taken back and in 5 mins they were done! They also placed my spare and tools back in the trunk neatly and I couldn’t have been more thankful. Monro - you guys are absolutely amazing…especially on a Saturday! Thank you so much! Definitely a 10/10 on everything!

Sean and the entire staff at Monro Auto Service take the utmost care and consideration for their customers. We are thankful to have found an auto repair and tire shop that we can entrust our vehicles with, because these vehicles transport not just myself but my precious family about on trips from A to B. Thank you especially to Sean for going above and beyond with such courteous and patient customer service via telephone and in-person. We will be back in the future.
