I enjoy my trips here. But it takes time to look through merchandise to find what you need. And employees are scarce. One manager one cashier and one who only does lessons. But if you need material there's no better place. Best bet shop on line

First. let me say that I dealt with the online Joann fabric sales. I ordered ten skeins of yarn for a project. A week after I placed my order, I was informed that Joann was doing a partial cancel of the order because they did not have enough of the yarn in the color specified in stock. I immediately replied that this was unacceptable and that I wanted the entire order cancelled. Anyone who makes things from yarn can tell you why; I simply did not need enough yarn to make (in this case) a half a capelet, nor was I interested in contacting every online retailer I could find to see if they had that yarn and color in the correct dyelot. Instead of a human answering me, I was answered by a bot that simply told me that it was impossible to cancel orders as that was not Joann policy. Please note that at this time, nothing had been shipped. I bounced that email right back, saying that it needed to be escalated to a human, and that if the order was not cancelled, I would refuse delivery and contact my credit card company. This did elicit a reply from a human; who reiterated that Joann does not cancel orders, but that in the one case, they would make an exception and I could return the order for credit. THE ORDER HAD NOT YET SHIPPED!!! So another week or a little more goes by, and the order is shipped. I guess that somewhere there is someone without the sense to pound sand making decisions; this will cost Joann more than if they had just cancelled the order. Today I was informed that the order had been delivered; tomorrow I go to the Post Office, write REFUSED on the package in big letters, and send a copy of all related correspondence to my credit card company, contesting all charges. I make my living making things from yarn and buy thousands of dollars worth every year. I can guarantee that I will NEVER do business with Joann again, and they will never see once cent of my money.

This store used to be such a nice place to shop. But over the past year or so it has become so messy and disorganized. Very disappointed!!

Searching for materials for a new craft project? Take a trip to Joann's in Middletown! Not only does the store have a wide range of sewing goods and crafting items- the store has an exceptional staff. Andrea, for one, really helped make a good shopping experience turn into a great one. She was friendly and excited to see what crafts people are up to. Art has that ability- to bring people together.Overall, it's always a pleasure shopping with Joann's in Middletown. A smile goes a long way.

Today I went to the store today and just cannot move past how rude Tara the sales associate is. Today is not my first encounter with the rude employee. But today took the cake and I am reporting her. She’s accusatory and condescending and often times it feels targeted. I called and he manager Alex said in a very (I’m not doing anything about this tone) “that she will speak with the employee about her behavior”. As if that’s gonna work. This isn’t the first time I called and complained about the associates behavior. Tara is rude. She should not be working the register if she can treat ALL customers with dignity and respect. I go to this Middletown store because unfortunately it’s my only option. That being said, it’s a hot mess and stuff is everywhere. Oftentimes I feel like I’m shopping at a thrift store. Which I can deal with as long as I’m not treated poorly when I shop there.

From batik to zibeline and everything in-between, JoAnn has a bolt in waiting. Lots of arts & crafts supplies and assorted do-dads makes this a go to store for the Made-it-myself crowd.

On Sunday January 8th 2023, Very disappointing experience.I went to this store because online it says the store had what I wanted. I get there they don’t have it, and the representative that works there has no clue about product or the store.I’m noticing more and more the staff is comfortable telling the customers they don’t know.I didn’t even know that was a thing. The world I come from is let me find out.She did NOTHING to find out the answer either.The store looks like only 1 person works there and you can’t find any help. Hiring people because they’re nice is cool but you also need some get up and go, as well to work with the public.Wasted trip. Why does online say they have it if they don’t?On December 9th I went to the Paramus store located @ 30 A&S Drive Paramus NJ, 07652 and they are really clueless as well, no customer support, you can’t identify who works there and it seems like only one person is working and I saw another young lady, didn’t get to see her name tag but she was moving along like don’t ask me anything, disturbing that you come to spend money and this is the attitude of the staff.Now I got names, because I have to wait for a staff member to appear, so Elizabeth looks up the item number here at this Paramus store and says of course I don’t know where it is, but she took me to where she thought it was and said if you don’t see it here we don’t have it. Didn’t go the extra mile at all. This is a lack of training.Again I went to this store because online it was said that this store had what I was looking for. Totally wasted trip again. Poor leadership at the Middletown NY store and the Paramus NJ Store. They need some training and for the mangers you can’t chill in your office, if your staff can’t run the store. There is a book to buy for the staff how to lead when your not in charge. Everyone is responsible for the success of where they work.On December 9th 2023 still looking for this fabric that online is saying is in these stores. I need this for Saturday and I’m praying all the way to the store, God please let them have it.I walk into the store located @48 NJ 23 Riverdale NJ 07457 and God planted an angel right in front of me, as I walked to the fabric a lady named Argent was standing there and said how can I help you. I started to laugh I said I’m so happy to see you, I had just been through hell at 2 Joann stores prior.I showed her what I wanted and there it was. I also noticed that this store was very neat and in order and she knew the product and the location of it. God answered fast!!Then 2 other angels appeared Marisol and Christine and they began helping with advice that I asked for and it was such a pleasure to walk in a store and get this customer service. I was sooo happy! They measured twice and cut, I was a happy soul.So I’m not sure who is going to read this but some employee of the month and some raises need to be in order. The staff needs to be rewarded for doing a great job. The staff that’s not doing their job need to be trained. Next time I will take pictures of the disorder in Paramus NJ and the Middletown NY store.I will always go to the store @48 NJ 23 Riverdale NJ 07457 anytime I need fabric because the customer service is an A plus and the store is neat the staff know the product. Let me tell you they care a lot in that store and it shows. People will always remember how they were treated, I know I do.
