I’m a usual H&M customer and often times shop at the H&M’s located in NYC. I can say that although all H&M are generally the same as it pertains to their clothing offering, my experience with this H&M was terrible. The staff there is rude, obnoxious and would rather fold clothes and fix racks than assist a customer. I had hundreds of clothes on my arm - buying my both kids back to school clothes and when I asked for a shopping bag was told I could walk to the other side of the store to pick it up. I’m pretty sure that HM management is more concerned with the staff folding clothes into the shelves rather than ensuring customer have a great experience at their stores that is DIRECTLY tied to sales. Oh wait when I did walk over to the register I was told that unfortunately they could only give me 1 shooing bag per customer. Mind the fact that I’m shopping for 2 children of different genders and that will need to try out these clothes separately and even 1 bag wasn’t big enough for all the clothes I was intending to buy. In total I spent $600 dollars and was treated the entire time as if I was bothering this rude, arrogant staff team. To the HM management team, we can shop anywhere so if you can’t provide your customers with a high touch experience than you will surely lose!

The clothing options were great but that's where the positive experience stops. The young ladies behind the counter had such foul mouths it's amazing. I have never had someone use such bad language while checking me out anywhere in my life. I also had a hard time paying because the credit card reader wasn't functioning properly. It literally took me about 10 minutes to check out. Not sure I will return to this store and don't recommend people with children to shop there either.
