re-joined after surgery recouping this year and was charged full fees- afterwards i had a serious medical condition which prevented me from workouts. i paid fees for months (wonderful auto withdrawals (( which when i was a prior member this gym never notified it’s members was even happening)) and was able to get there perhaps 5 times after re-joining, in a period of a few months. when i called to freeze or hold my account the staff told me to “just cancel”. sure $ out the window. called the gym and was given a number which someone answered “hello?” with no identification of a business… so now i had to use an email. i am ever hopeful this can be resolved and it’s ridiculous not to allow medical holds and keep taking members monies . never ever again.

I have been a crunch member for almost two years now. The staff are always friendly and make you feel welcomed, like you belong. I have never felt that warm-welcome and friendly feeling at other gyms. I have also been working with a personal trainer, Katia, for the past two years. She knows her stuff and will push me to do more then I think I can do. She also makes the sessions fun and explains what it is we are doing and why. I have gained muscle and lost weight working with Katia and have stuck to a more consistent gym routine then I would have, had I not had her as a trainer.

Been going Crunch about 5 mos started with my PT Katia love our sessions. She listens to my goals & adjusts our work outs to be sure I'm not injuring myself at 71y/o thinks aren't as flexible & resilent. But she always manages to make me sweat TY TY KATIA!!!!!

The trainers are pretty great people. Most of my personal training appointments have been with Laina, but I’ve gotten to know a couple others and they have good vibes and are very encouraging. Laina has given me more experience doing workouts that I was previously uncomfortable doing, as well as a good mix of intense and somewhat more relaxed sessions. Although I will say that the gym could be a bit more organized. Sometimes equipment will not be in the place they should be, and spread out across the gym.

I am leaving 5 stars for my PT he is the best in the game highly recommend. I have been training with him for a year now and I wouldn’t trade him for anything . Ladies if you would like to get your dream body ask for Simon.
When it comes to the facility they can do a better job with the up keep maybe shut the gym down and do an overall service and cleaning the equipments break down too frequent. Check should be done regular in the female bathroom no fun using the restroom and there is no toilet paper.

I have been doing personal training for five years at Crunch Fitness and love it! My current trainer Simon is excellent to work with. He really cares about my success in meeting my goals. I find this to be true of the entire staff at Crunch. It's a great atmosphere and I don't feel like I am just a number. At Crunch Fitness Middletown I feel like I am family. That's what personal training should be!

THE BIGGEST NIGHTMARE OF MY LIFE
my experience in canceling my account was almost impossible, what I don't like is that there's no way to cancel my contract at the same place I opened it, my second issue is the phone CSR wasn't able to communicate effectively due to language barrier, his attitude was deplorable then they took 3 additional payments from my cc, after the cancellation process was completed. they only replayed me 2 of 3 payments, I had to continually call to have the 3rd repayment completed. I requested corporate number but was refused, no regional manager call me and general manager Rafael is useless he didn't put my money back in the card how he said he would. I end it up paying interest on the amount of money they illegally took out of my bank account. just safe you self the headache and

Great gym with clean facilities. Also has hand sanitizer after sets and cleaning supplies.

Since Ralph took over the facility has grown as a community and aspect of the gym got better. Team members are the best.

It's not bad, much better than the Y. I haven't been to PF in a few years but the equipment at Crunch seems to be much better. I'm disappointed with the "power half hour" equipment, it's garbage and in the same place as all the rest so people just use it. Unlike at PF where the circuit equipment is in its own room. Also there's only one hydromassage chair so sometimes there's quite a wait. But everything else is great and the staff is always super friendly

Bro you can’t even cancel this membership. I go in cancel nope still active. Two months of me calling and being charged but the manager isn’t there never is. They also told me it was cancelled June 29th but I was charged another month (for July) AND the annual fee but when I called the first of July they had no idea it was cancelled telling me it doesn’t even say it’s pending! It still says active now on the app. Guess I’m calling corporate tomorrow just don’t go to this gym if you plan on canceling because they wont let you.
