The room was awful. The Tv didn't work, the AC wasn't working I was awake most of the night because my room would just not cool down. My mother in law stayed in a room down the hall similar issues. The Tv didn't work but her room was too cold. Breakfast was non-existent because the hotel was grossly understaffed catering to three wedding parties next morning. The woman who was there was doing her best with what felt like no support from the manager. I felt over-whelming obligated to help her in any way I could. As a guest this was pretty disgraceful.
Rooms: Broken in a bad way. Would not recommend to anyone.
Food and drinks: Don't. Just don't
Noteworthy details: Great location for Legoland

Overall, the location was good to commute to Legoland. The room is clean. Staff are great - friendly and helpful.

I have never stayed in a hotel with power straps in rooms. Several electrical wires just thrown together. The bathroom tub was not clean. The hotel has not what it use to be.
We were only there 1 night, we had a furneral to attend.

One bed didn’t have a fitted sheet just two flat sheets which we didn’t notice until my husband woke up laying directly on the mattress. So gross. There are no USB plugs. The door aren’t soft close and you just hear doors constantly slamming. We, while traveling with 2 small kids, were put on the first floor near an exit door when they knew they had 2 wedding parties. We were up for 3 hours from drunk people screaming and slamming doors. The lobby bar had at least 100 people. We called twice and went to the from desk once and nothing was done. I had to go bang on door to ask people to turn off the music they were blasting at 2am. The lack of consideration for the other guests in their hotel was unacceptable.

I have stayed at this Courtyard Middletown location many times over the past years and each time it seems to get a little bit more dirty and have an "old and uncared for" feeling. Because it was the cheapest of the three Marriotts in the Middletown area I thought I would give it another shot.
On the night that I was to arrive there was a terrible thunderstorm along the whole eastern shore board that shut in coming flights to Newark, Laguardia and JFK (big storm). I could not get a flight rescheduled to go out to NY for two days because of the storm backload so I called this hotel and asked to cancel/refund my stay. The manager, who was very professional, refused because it was prepaid. I travel ALOT and always stay at Marriott and have status and always get refunded when there are these type of uncontrollable travel issues. This hotel does not honor these type of issues. SO, I would recommend only stay at this hotel if you know FOR SURE that you can control the weather, travel, and family issues because you will not get your money back no matter what. The other two Marriotts in town, Residence Inn and Fairfield, will refund when weather/travel/family is an issue.

My mom wouldn't let me stay here because they had 666 reviews so there you go.

My experience at the Marriott in Middletown/Goshen was outstanding, and I highly recommend it. We have been staying here for years and they never disappoint.
Rooms: The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The super comfortable bed and pillows helped for a good night’s sleep.
Safety: I felt completely safe during my visit. The staff’s commitment to my safety was obvious, from the front desk always being attended to the verification at check-in.
Food and drinks: The dining experience at the Marriott was exceptional. The variety and quality of food was excellent. The restaurant staff were attentive and friendly, making everything even more enjoyable.

My wife and 2 small children stayed here for 3 days as we had a terrible experience somewhere else.
I have stayed at numerous of Bonvoy properties internationally and know what to expect at a Courtyard.
This hotel was exactly what we expected. The he service was amazing, laughing and making jokes, and giving us some amazing recommendations for some stuff to do nearby.
Pool was fun with the kids and the rooms were great. It isn’t a brand new hotel and I believe the rates are in line with that.
Thank you to everyone who made our stay special and a special shoutout to the new guy in the bistro who did a great job on his second shift.
I don’t know why there are negative reviews recently but they likely aren’t telling the truth.
For anyone nervously reading the reviews for an upcoming stay - yes there is an option for breakfast - it’s well worth it - no there’s no bed bugs (I pulled the sheets and checked) - the employees are awesome - there are 4 restaurants in walking distance as well as a large mall “Galleria “ that has lots to see and do including an adventure course for kids - and it’s super close to Legoland (12 mins)
Thanks again for saving our vacation!
Rooms: Clean - quiet. Not updated but not run down in the slightest.
Nearby activities: LEGOLAND (12 mins away) , galleria (5 mins away)
Food and drinks: Breakfast included with the (weekender) package.
Only 10$ extra a night and it gave breakfast for all four of us.

The room was underwhelming, just ok.
No breakfast offered, which was awful considering room cost.

I booked the Courtyard Marriott Middletown for my June 2024 wedding block and was very disappointed in the service & stay. The rates quoted for a wedding block are extremely high and not on par with similar classes of hotel nearby or in any other part of the country. The managerial staff was always responsive but overall a challenge to work with. We considered adding a group breakfast or a late bar to our package, but the rates were just truly out of control. They had no loyalty to Marriott status and made no accommodations or additional offerings to respect that; something I have never previously witnessed in nearly 400 lifetime nights stayed with the brand. They guaranteed a first floor suite for my bridal party to get ready in and two days before the wedding sent an incredibly unprofessional email revoking the room with no empathy, consideration, or any form of compensation. Upon hearing my justified frustration, the manager's only response was that I seek accommodations elsewhere. Multiple guests reported not being given welcome bags upon check in. Also this hotel has no safes in the rooms & at no point was that communicated to us during the 18-month period we were in discussions. Despite the convenient location, I would not book a room or a room block with them again.

What a huge disappointment! Think twice before staying here. There are plenty of other options in the area. Room smelled like a gym, sheets and pillowcases were dirty, bugs and the television was a nightmare.
