Since the new property manager has taken over, Stone Gate Apartments in Middle Island went from a five star to a one star. The property manager has an attitude and think that she’s above and beyond everybody else. When we live there, we complained about the smell of marijuana constantly in our apartment and it’s supposed to be a non-smoking community.the only good thing I have to say about the apartment complex is the maintenance manager, James . He’s an amazing person.
The landscaping at the apartment complex used to be top-notch. It two has deteriorated over the time that we had lived there. But once again, my main problem is with the Property manager, She’s the main reason why people are leaving as well as the price.
Find somewhere else to rent if you can

Words Can't describe how much my family and I miss Stonegate. It was one of the best communities we have ever lived.From property manager Melanie who was always there to respond whenever we needed something, Ray and James for maintenance stuff. The safety and open roads where babies can walk safely with nice neighbors.Thank you! we miss you! keep doing great work.

My husband and I are very happy to provide an excellent review for Stonegate At Middle Island. We have lived here for 5+ years. When searching for a great apartment, we had visited many other developments, but found Stonegate to be the top of the top. From the outstanding and friendly office staff to the exceptional and efficient maintenance staff, we are extremely happy and satisfied. It's very seldom that we need to have a maintenance call, but when we do, they respond immediately and take care of our request. The grounds are kept beautifully, and Stonegate is truly the best apartment complex offering so many ammenities including washer & dryer in each unit, spacious rooms, and a garage available if you need one. As far we are concerned, Stonegate is a terrific community for all ages and we're very happy to call it home!!

I have lived at Stonegate in Middle Island for nearly five years and the experience has been great! The community is quiet and safe, the neighbors and office staff are friendly and helpful, and the maintenance crew are accommodating. The children of the community play outside till dark with no worries or swim at the pool in the summers for hours of fun. The fitness center, although small, has everything one would need to get in a good workout. The clubhouse has a nice space for gatherings and business center for simple office tasks. The apartment itself, a spacious and well-designed layout, was recently updated with new appliances and Granite countertops in the kitchen, as well as new cabinets in the bathrooms. I have a upstairs apartment with a small balcony with is the perfect size for a few potted plants and table which is very enjoyable for sitting outside and watching the birds. The complex itself is well-maintained, the lawns mowed weekly, the area treated for pests regularly, and the buildings power washed yearly making the community a clean and safe place to live.

Stonegate Apartments, in Middle Island, has been my home for the past 4.5 years. The rent is reasonable, the apartment is spacious, and, this resident, feels safe in her environment. The amenities provided fit my families needs and the staff is friendly and professional. Maintenance issues are conducted in a timely manner and I have observed a security driver circle the area to ensure safety to the residents. The grounds are kept well seasonally and during inclement weather. This resident has established a positive rapport with neighbors and staff. I would recommend Stonegate Apartments to family and friends with confidence.

I lived in a house for most of my life so moving to an apartment I thought would be very difficult because I value my privacy. Afterliving here for one year I could not be happier. The entire staff is amazing and all your needs are taking care of quickly and courteously. It is private, quiet, close to everything and the grounds are well cared for. In my opinion I dont think you can find a nicer complex to live in Suffolk County.

The leasing office people were nice, but if you are planning on living there as a couple the both of you must have impeccable credit above 700 I suppose because mine was 40 something away from 700. Also they show you a model and it looks nothing like the one you will be getting and if you want that upgrade it’s $75 more a month. The next day we were instantly approved at another beautiful place and they told us Stonegates loss is our gain

So far the 18 months here have been great. The women in the office are always helpful and James who runs maintenance is excellent. Only issue is lack of parking in front of your apt. Some people park in hdcp like its their own personal space. Plenty of visitor parking though.
