We went here to get my 20 month old new shoes. The guy was very friendly, patient, he measured my son’s feet and talked to him. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured to get anything like other places. We Definitely recommend going here!

Got both our kids their first shoes here and have come back a couple times as they’ve grown even though it’s a bit of a drive for us. Old school shoe shop that does the job right. It’s a little more expensive than ordering online, but totally worth it. Your kids will get a proper fit, try on a couple pairs to make sure they fit well and your kid will leave with a big smile on their face!

We had a wonderful visit to Prop-R-Fit today to get my 2.5-year old properly fitted for sneakers! Craig was so helpful and made it fun for my daughter, who normally hates anything to do with shoes. It’s so important to get your kiddo’s right shoe size - definitely recommend!

We were SO pleased with our experience! As a child, I remember being sized for new shoes all the time because my parents understood the importance of a properly fitting shoe for a child's physical development. When my own son turned one and showed signs of walking readiness, I turned to the internet to find children's shoe stores and was shocked to see how few of them there are! We were so happy to find Prop-R-Fit! I knew I wanted Stride Rite shoes for our sons first pair for walking, and decided after printing their fitting guide that I needed some professional guidance. Nat was so kind and was absolutely wonderful with our son. He measured quickly and precisely and then brought us several options. It was a positive experience all around! And for those parents who think they can measure the proper shoe size from a piece of paper, I caution you! Incorrectly fitting shoes can wreak all sorts of havoc with one's physical development. The risk isn't worth it -- for prices comparable with what you find online, just go and get your kid properly fitted for shoes and support local businesses!!

This store is incredible!!! Brought our 1 year old here to get his first ever pair of shoes as his shoes from the Gap were far too narrow and irritating his pinky toe.We were helped by Nat (from Lynbrook!) and he sized our little boy and was super helpful! He brought out 4 different types of shoes for us to try on and found the perfect fit for his tiny feet.All together, we were in at about $65 and change and we were in and out in about 10 minutes. Incredible experience overall and the store was spacious.

My sister and her daughter in law went to purchase a ‘first pair of shoes’ for her granddaughter. A family tradition. The owner was nasty from start to finish and couldn’t be bothered at all. There were no other customers in the store. They should have walked out but didn’t. No one needs to experience this type of nasty attitude. Stay away!!

Salesman was very nice and helpful in finding shoes for my niece. Thankful that they are one of the few stores left selling striderite brand shoes as they are the best.

Great place! It’s wonderful to be able to have help from such experienced people to make sure our children have shoes that fit them properly. I drive from several towns away because there is no place else like this.

1. Horrible customer service. Very rude sales person. When my son mentioned the uniform dress shoe was tight width wise I asked if it was a 5.5 m and the salesperson said "it'll stretch out" so I reached for the box he guarded close to him and told him it was a narrow not medium. He got up and came back with another one which looked like it fit smaller. I asked if it was a 5.5m and he said "it fits good." I look at box and it was a 5m.2. Expensive. At register ready to pay I asked price of uniform shoe I was about to purchase for my other son and it was $10 more that through stride rite or sperry on line and on line I got 10% off on top of price!3. Inventory is very low even though they are exclusively serving three local schools with specific uniform shoes required.4. When I asked if he could set pair aside for 10 mins. while I drove to their other store to see if they had half size up he said "absolutely not" and walked away. I understand but the response could have been more polite. They own both stores and they are close to each other.

Nat, who fitted our 11 month old, was very kind and finally able to get the baby shoes that fit. I wasted so much money trying to buy shoes online. Sad this store is closing, but we'll check out their other location.

So I visited the store on Friday 2/18 at 430pm. When I entered the store with my 10 month old son, I was never greeted despite saying hello when I walked in. At the time, the salesman was busy with another customer. He never once acknowledged me. My husband walks into the store and also says hello and there was no reply. Not once did he say, I'll be with you as soon as I'm done over here. I should have walked out as soon as I didn't get a reply or greeting when I walked in. My husband noticed immediately that he didn't get a greeting and wanted to walk out but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. We waited 10 min and he never said anything to us the whole time. He even let us walk out of the store. I will never visit this establishment again. That salesperson was very rude. Spend your money somewhere else!! I wouldn't even give this store one star!!!Response: I sat down and waited and you still didn't acknowledge us. Thats when we decided to leave. I don't expect to get serviced right away but I do expect to be greeted.
