39 Wolf Rd, Albany“We arrived early and on a last minute notice. Since I drive a tour bus, I need to sleep during the day and drive at night so a comfortable/quiet hotel is important. They made sure I had a quiet room and gave me a view of the bus as well as they personally got permission from the mayor to allow me to park out front. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and even gave me a space heater to make sure I could sleep well. The service alone makes this hotel worth it. Also great wifi so I was even able to play a couple games.”

660 Albany Shaker Rd, Albany“This hotel is beautiful. For those who need a place to stay, you won't be disappointed. The front desk check-in was friendly and fast. Show Evan some love when you go. He was abundantly helpful. He pratically mapped out how to get around the unique layout of the hotel. The first impression was great. Do not let the exterior fool you. The inside is spacious and modern. I want to talk about the staff. I would give the entire staff 10 stars if I could. This hotel accommodated March Madness teams, a wedding, and a 7 State Delegation Council on Friday, March 29th. Go over to the restaurant and enjoy the service of Dave, Tony, Danielle, Ava, and Hayley. Bring your groups here, and have your wedding here. The Crown Plaza has thee best Bartenders and Management I've ever experienced. Thank you all for a memorable evening! Just book the room and enjoy yourself.Rooms: I stayed in a suite that was top-tier quality. The bed was incredible. Im 140lbs and felt like i was sleeping in a cloudFood & drinks: Big D's restaurant is delicious. Try the burger. 5/5 taste and quality.Noteworthy details: Close to the Albany Airport”

393 State St, Albany“Very nice and clean hotel. My mini apartment was in the most modern building. Clean, well furnished and spacious rooms. On the ground floor of the older building breakfast was served in a beautiful kitchen. It felt like we were guests in a home, rather than a hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel very close to the centre, absolutely recommended.”

Rooms: Amazing and Modern.
Food & drinks: Room service is great. Staff at the phone and delivery staff were kind and respectful. The tomate soup is super delicious, 100% recommended!”
“The hotel room was very clean. We stop here just for a night on a road trip. Loved that the hotel was dog friendly. The local gas station right next to the hotel was very convenient.”
“We enjoyed our stay. The room gave us a place to stay for the evening. It was mostly nice. The big comment: The mattress was the older 12" thick box spring style, ~medium firmness, with no pillow top or foam. We were fine and slept well. People lived like that for decades. I prefer the more luxurious mattresses that are in more hotel locations these days of course, but it was a fine trade-off for our experience downtown.
Troy- It was the perfect stopover before we continued our way west. Dinner and a walk along the river after. I knew Troy's reputation from ~20 years ago and wondered about the location, but it was great. There were a couple of people that made you keep your eyes open once we neared 9pm but otherwise filled with families and young couples enjoying the summer evening. There is so much landscaping, with memorials and pocket parks. The downtown is a must-see.
The big surprise bonus was in the morning at breakfast time. The lobby was filled with happy families. Young parents with children playing nicely and politely. So happy and lovely, that really made us feel like it was summer vacation.
The lobby is absolutely gorgeous and overall they have done a really nice job designing the interiors. All of the staff we interacted with were very polite, professional and friendly.”

3 Tech Valley Dr, East Greenbush“EDIT
I was contacted the day after I left this review by the actual general manager, And she was amazing. She genuinely cared about the situation and wanted to help, After seeing my original review. The person I talked to on the phone before, was not actually the general manager, even though I had pressed the button to call the general manager, and they did not inform me they weren’t. I just wanted to make this clear because the actual general manager is in fact amazing. She apologized profusely. She moved us to one of the new suites where there would be no construction going on around us. She helped me bring my stuff up to the suite as I am disabled And she did so, happily. She was interested in seeing the videos I took of the noise and you could tell she actually did feel bad.
I changed my rating because of the service that I received from her made up for the inconveniences that I had to deal with. I would, in fact choose to stay here again because of her.
The new rooms are gorgeous. The bed is very comfortable and new. The kitchen is completely decked out with everything you will need to even enjoy long-term stay.
Thank you Anisa, your kindness really did go a long way to solve the situation.
Tl;dr
Loud construction directly above my room, (they did not make us aware of the construction when we booked our stay) no one showed up to put out breakfast, rude manager, fitness room, laundry room and hot tub are all unavailable. No offers of apology, or any kind of solution to attempt to make our stay more comfortable, even tho they admit they “dropped the ball”. Old uncomfortable bed, but at least it was decently clean.
I will start off with the good. While the rooms are a bit old and outdated, they were clean and well equipped with towels, dishes, and a full kitchen. The bed was old and sagged, not the best sleep. The first front desk attendant was very kind, the rest of the staff during our stay was so unprofessional. I even overheard them laughing at calling another employee the wrong name. Literally laughing loudly and clapping their hands at the front desk, while myself and several other guests walked by.
Another thing that shocked me was while they advertise a free continental breakfast 6 AM to 9 AM during the weekdays, there was nothing. My husband And I are from out of town on a business trip, My husband had to be there at 6:30 so he expected to be able to have breakfast at 6 AM. By 615 there was still no food and he had to go to work without breakfast. I asked the front desk what was going on with breakfast and they said the crew didn’t show up. That was it. No apologies or solutions or offer of anything other than the fact that we weren’t getting breakfast That should’ve been included in our stay. I’m not trying to be a Karen, But when you expect to be breakfast, it’s really inconvenient when it’s not there.
Moving on, We were not made aware when we booked our stay here that there was going to be construction. I am currently sitting in my guest suite, and the pictures on the walls are shaking because it is so loud upstairs. They are doing construction in the room directly above me, There is stomping hammering drilling, and it started at 8 AM. I called the front desk to inquire as to why we were not informed when we booked our stay that there was going to be construction, All she said was somebody should have called you. When I asked if it was going to continue over the weekend, she said probably not, but she can’t guarantee it. Again with no apology.
I am currently trying to work from the hotel room and I can’t because it is too loud. They didn’t even offer to move us to a different room, Nothing.
Also as a side note, the fitness room, laundry facilities and hot tub were all out of order.
I still have a couple more nights to stay here. I really wish we had gone somewhere else.

634 Madison Ave, Albany“Stayed here for the night and enjoyed my stay. For anyone looking to stay here it's a building built in 1884 and don't expect perfection. If you love old buildings you will love this place. If I ever need accomodations in Albany again I would not hesitate booking at this establishment. For anyone traveling via Amtrak the 114 bus from Rensellear station stops literally 600 feet from this place so unless you have lots of luggage public transportation is readily available.”
“Location was perfect for me. Room was neat and clean. Desk person was very pleasant. Breakfast wasn't up to Comfort Inn standards but was adequate with toast bagels and muffins along with coffee and juice. Perfectly fine place to stay for a night or two.”
“Love the fact that there is an efficiency motel that is reasonable with their pricing and can accommodate so many people that have such a hard time getting into a regular apartment. I am very pleased with this place. Thank you!”

There was a leak in the bathtub which kept dripping and I finally reported it to the front desk, so I’m sure they fixed it
Otherwise, it was very nice
Safety: We certainly felt extremely safe here.
Food and drinks: They had snacks and drinks available near the check-in desk. Each guest gets two bottles of water each day.”

“I park here when traveling from Albany Intnl. Airport and sometimes I'll stay if my flights leave in the early morning or arrive late at night rather than driving home after traveling so I can drive home in daylight and stop along the way for breakfast if I sleep past the hotel breakfast that is complimentary with the room”

My husband and I were greeted at the desk by Tina. She was so personable and lovely. She worked to find an opening to get us into our room early when she saw how exhausted we were. The room was comfortable and clean and it’s a short walk to MVP. Would definitely recommend.

“Very comfortable hotel. Beds and pillows are especially cozy. Good location to get to and from Albany center. The fresh fruit was a nice breakfast option. The free evening social provided a full meal and drinks. The desk staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Food and drinks: Food was tasty and fresh. The wine and beer bar had great choices and were free during the social event.”
