Absolutely blown away by the exceptional service and the stunning arrangements from Black Dahlia. We needed floral arrangements for a last minute ceremony and in just four weeks they went beyond our expectations with their impressive professionalism and artistry. I called around to over a dozen florists in the area before booking with Black Dahlia and not only are their prices comparable with other florists, but Sheryl’s ability to translate my vision to life was absolutely priceless. With just a few short phone calls she took a couple of my inspiration pictures and turned it into something that I couldn’t have even dreamed of.
I will definitely be using Black Dahlia for future events and strongly recommend them to anyone who’s considering a florist. Thank you so much to Sheryl and the team!!! From the moment I reached out they were truly attentive, organized, and took care of every detail!

Black Dahlia supplied my bouquet and boutonniere for my civil ceremony. I was hoping it incorporate maroon because it is my husband’s favorite color. They were able to get me the exact color, look and feel I asked for. The staff was lovely and I was able to pick it up the next day.

Sonja is simply the most talented florist on Long Island. She is also friendly, easy to talk to and a personable. Her passion and creativity can be seen and felt through her gorgeous floral arrangements, which are quite literally pieces of art. My sister, mom and I became acquainted with Sonja/Blavk Dahlia while planning my sister’s wedding in 2021. Since then, my mother has used black dahlia as the florist for corporate events. My FH and I have also booked Black Dahlia for our wedding in June 2025, which we both could not be happier about. Don’t just listen to me, go check out her beautiful floral arrangements on her Instagram page! If you’re looking for a florist for whatever your needs are, run, don’t walk to Black Dahlia. You won’t regret it!

I'm not even sure where to begin because Black Dahlia has been one of the best partners for me in so many projects that I truly can't sing their praises enough.
I am a NYC based event planner and when I got married back in 2022, I decided I wanted to branch out & work with some vendors that were new to me. Black Dahlia was one of the first gambles I took on my own wedding and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Since then, I've worked with them on several events for my clients, they are always my first recommendation. They have an amazing team that will work with you to achieve the perfect vision - I have to give a special shout out to Sonja who I work with most frequently and who has brought everything my clients and I have brought to her to life.
They are fairly priced and worth every penny! I work with dozens of wedding vendors every year and cannot emphasize the importance of working with high quality people who perform high quality services. This shop is not a one trick pony - they truly can bring any vision to life to the highest level and that is incredibly rare.

We used Black Dahlia through a wedding package with Sunken Meadow. We had a very specific idea and inspiration board for Black Dahlia and they absolutely nailed the job. Our wedding was a tropical paradise and even one year later our guests have been telling us how beautiful our flowers were. We had quite a few upgrades and they were very transparent about pricing. They were able to rent out flower stands and accessories that perfectly matched our vision board. Our flowers held up perfectly in the summer heat, and they even were still perfect after we got back from our honeymoon. Thank you so much!

All our flowers far exceeded our expectations and looked absolutely stunning! We got so many compliments on the centerpieces, bouquets, and the arch. It was exactly what I wanted and envisioned. The entire planning process was so easy and stress-free! I never felt pressured into anything I didn't want and even on my initial consultation call when I wasn't sure if I wanted certain things, I felt guided in the right direction. While planning my brother's rehearsal dinner, we didn't have a florist and Black Dahlia came as a recommendation from a friend of my mom's - it could not have been a better experience! My mom and I went in person to work out what we wanted and Lexi was incredibly patient and helpful as we explained what we were looking for. She took the time to arrange different options for us to see, and offered suggestions of what would look best. We never felt rushed, and left feeling confident that the arrangements would look beautiful. In the following weeks they were always quick to email or call back when we reached out with questions which was a huge comfort to my mom.The result was stunning! We were going for simple yet elegant and romantic with a small touch of purple, and Black Dahlia truly delivered. They designed a table-scape that spanned the long rectangular tables by using bud vases, votives, candles, and greenery, which also worked on the circular tables and the bar. Everything looked amazing in the space, elevated the vibe, and we got a million compliments.We decided to reuse the flowers two days later at the brunch, and Black Dahlia was kind enough to leave us all of the packing materials they used to transport the arrangements, so that we could easily transport them from the restaurant on Friday to the hotel where the brunch was being held on Sunday. Every flower still looked fresh and beautiful at the brunch, and continued to do so for a little over a week.Black Dahlia will absolutely be our go-to florist for future events (we're so sad my other brother's upcoming wedding is in Dallas and we can't use them!) - they were a pleasure to work with and create gorgeous work. If it wasn't already clear, I highly recommend!

I was not super excited about spending thousands of dollars on flowers, especially when I didn't really know anything about them. The team at Black Dahlia took the time to explain everything before booking. They also didn't make a big deal that I didn't want centerpieces(which I've heard a lot of florists won't work with you if you don't do centerpieces). I ended up doing a garland over the pergola outside, flowers on the greenery wall behind the sweetheart table, a garland on the sweetheart table, flowers on the cake, 8 boutonnieres, 4 corsages, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, and my bouquet. When we sat for the final meeting, they had books of flowers I could pick from, and when I explained I wanted me florals to be "moody" they understood and executed perfectly(meanwhile my husband was like wtf is moody?!) lol
