This firm certainly has no professionalism. Charges big money for preparing returns then NO after sales service. For Canadians looking to have U.S taxes done, I do not recommend this firm at all. We had an expired ITIN number but we’re told there would be no problem and filed the tax form anyway. Months later, asked Gardner’s to file the ITIN renewal and now months later again, the IRS claims they never received any W7 renewal. We have had to make all the calls and inquiries as they were not interested in helping at all. “ The IRS is just slow and backlogged” is the excuse we got. Do not waste you good money on this business. We are going to send in our own renewal ourselves and avoid anymore grief. Now look at the real professional response they give this and other poor reviews.

Unprofessional, had a huge 2k plus error made by their employee that they assured me would be resolved in 3-6 months. 2 years later I am still dealing with this, now they are telling me the error was correct and I have to pay in-- plus being penalized for not paying since they assured me it would be handled. Not only that, they never mailed me my documents to sign 4 months after the taxes were completed. Do not recommend.

After paying $210.00 to get my taxes done, I would think they would have filed it electronically for me. But they didn't. I got a paper check. Finally. Now I'm having to wait for my stimulas check because they don't have my current banking info on file!!!? Not real happy with the service this year. And can't get a hold of anyone because the office is closed!!! They ought to be giving me my money back !!!!

My employer messed up on my state taxes and took out the wrong state. Went in with all my documents and they looked it all over and sent the proof along with a letter to the state. I just got a letter from the state my case is closed. Thank you for all your help!! Definitely will be doing my taxes with Gardner from now on.

When a customer suffers a financial loss due to the mistakes of an employee, it should be common sense that the business that has been paid to do the work should take care of the problem. "It's not my fault!" is a very poor response by any business owner when dealing with the results of employee incompetence. They fired the employee in Feb. 2014, during the peak of tax return season, showing that they obviously realized the kind of problem they had. Not fixing the problems that had already been created is just bad business. Discussing those problems in front of a waiting room full of other disgruntled customers instead of in private is also poor business. This business works just fine as long as nothing goes wrong. When something goes wrong, the response of "It's not my fault!" is childish and unprofessional.
