Dr Shatz is absolutely the best. Although Rusty has been gone for 20 yrs he kept her going till she was about 18. She became diabetic at age 15 & he made sure she received the proper insulin & dosage. The most caring vet I have ever met. Thank you.

Dr. Pacchiano Was very caring and thorough during milos exam! You could tell she was an animal lover and treated him as if it were her own fur baby! Milo was then seen by Dr. Michelle V. Frascati who was Gentle and sweet. i knew i left the clinic feeling milo was in safe hands. Explained aftercare and sent him home with me the same way. Id also like to add that the vets asst, front desk secretaries were one of the sweetest people ever. Every person who i came across remembered his name and was very keen to detail! Love the staff and the do tors here 10/10 recommend! They are also quick to pick up phone calls and short wait tomes for appointments

This is the best vet around. Everybody is so kind && nice and always makes you feel welcomed and important. It’s a great feeling to know you have a neighborhood vet who actually cares about your dog because they actually love the animals. The doctors are intelligent && kind as well. They take the time to explain the situation and care and they don’t ever make you feel like your annoying or taking up to much time. I truly appreciate everybody here thank you all

My family has been bringing our pets here since the 1980’s, and we’re still going. The staff are extremely friendly, the doctors are some of the most caring within the field of veterinary medicine, and they listen.

Have used this vet since the 1980's. When I moved back into town I called them for check ups for my cats. I loved them back in the 80's and I love them now. They take great care of Phillip, Tony and Marvin.

Vets and technicians are very compassionate and patient. It takes a special person to work in the vet and this place seems to have found them all

We used them for years. They recently diagnosed my fur baby with lymphoma. Offered steroids and told us there was nothing more that could be done. Unless we wanted to try chemo (on a 12 yr old cat). That was all they offered. Or put the cat down. ? We finally tracked down Dr. Crockett, (who has left MHFA). She offered a ton of options to prolong his life. None of these options were ever mentioned by the attending vet at MHFA! They were basically like your cat has cancer, it’s a shame. Sorry! Nothing to do here! What a shame. Dr. Crockett has done wonders with the treatment she has given. Our fur baby is acting normal again. Eating. Being social with the other cats. Isn’t hiding under the bed for days. You’ve lost a loyal customer. We plan on staying with Dr. Crockett, now that we found her. This place has gone way down hill since she has left. With good reason!

Great first time experience. Dr Lopez was very thorough on my dogs first examination. Place was very clean and front desk help was very respectful and pleasing.

Brought my 4yo Holland Lop to see Joi Pacchiano. She was very sweet and caring. She took her time with us and gave us advice on my rabbit’s skin condition. I recommend her for Rabbit care.

I've been coming to Massapequa Animal Hospital with my pets since I'm a kid. Now as an adult with a cat of my very own, I still come here. The quality of care is fantastic and the doctors are wonderful. I highly recommend MAH.We usually see Dr Pacchiano, and let me just say she's awesome! She takes the time to explain what's going on and what the options are, and I always feel better after talking to her.

Basically only good for vaccinations. High bills with very little incite or care if you have a problem with your pet. After several visits with no direction and stacking bills I was told to take her elsewhere

I just got a puppy and I brought her in here for a first check up- starting off with front desk, so warm and the vet tech assisting was amazing as well! Dr.Ragusa took the time to answer all my questions and I didn’t feel rushed at all. The following day she called me herself with results as that is so rare since I have been to others vets with previous dog and would have to call myself for results and can’t get in contact with the doctors. Definitely recommend coming here!

Went here with my pet for the first time when she was not feeling well and I could not get an appointment with my regular vet. Everyone was very welcoming and I was seen right away. When I was given a terminal cancer diagnosis as the reason for my pets illness I was devastated but everyone was very supportive. They helped me with medication over the next couple of weeks to help make her as comfortable as possible. When I knew it was time to make an end of life appointment they were willing to see me whenever I wanted but she unfortunately passed before our scheduled appointment. After calling to let them know she had passed I received a phone call direct from the vet to express her condolences as well as a beautiful card in the mail. All of this after just one visit! I'm not sure when I'll be ready to adopt another dog, but when I do, Massapequa Hospital for Animals will be our choice for veterinarian care.

Unfortunately we had two elderly dogs that got ill and had to be put down. The entire staff from our initial visits and trying to help them right up to having to make the difficult decision were supportive, professional, helpful, and caring.
