The staff are mostly older people that know and care about their products and customers. “Very large local hardware store. Big parking lot. Store is fairly well merchandised but due to its size it seems kind of empty when you walk through it. One cashier, which was sufficient. A few employees on the floor to help find items. Large displays and case-cuts throughout. Very clean, well lighted space.”

“Unbelivable customer service. I went there for a thermostat and was not sure about the compatiability. So someone came to help me out and we spent almost 30 min to find a thermostat which supports line voltage. I was amazed by the patience and willingness to help. This is very hard to find these days. Highly recommended.”
“One of the better and bigger Ace's I've been to in the area. Great selection with that bigger size as well. I had no issues finding the couple of things I've been looking for each time I've been so far. A little bit more expensive than your typical big box hardware stores around, but this one is not only convenient for the area but also staffs some good employees that were very polite and friendly. Plus shopping through a locally owned store feels a little bit better on the inside too. I write this in the dead of winter, but they seem to have a pretty robust garden center that I'll be eager to peruse once spring rolls around. Huge parking lot all around the building, no problem finding a space.”

I miss the wood creaky floor and the shelves filled with stuff your grandpa would take you to get to fix a leaky pipe in the kitchen . And the little boxes of screws and bolts.But the golden ticket was to see all the trains.. not just any train.. but Lionel and American flyer trains.If you need anything.. come here first.. support your local businesses.. I'm a retired electrician that's been to them in all 5 boros.
Some places looked sloppy with lazy workers.
This specific Home Depot was very neat & had everything we needed.
One of the workers spent a lot of time with me trying help me find a specific tool for a project.
Also helped my Nephew find what he needed.
The workers in this place seemed happy to work there. They kept the place clean. Which is very important when you're trying to find a device amongst thousands of other devices.
I can safely recommend this Home Depot.
The only caviat was no security in the parking lot which no places really have but all need.
You have to have eyes behind your head when you're out now crime is a big problem everywhere and vagrancy. If they don't get it under control everyone will start ordering stuff online and jobs will be lost. Put some security in the parking lots.”

“Ace Hardware of Baldwin is my local hardware store. They might not be the cheapest but they certainly are friendly and helpful. Just as like many local businesses in these times, they seem to be undergoing a bit of a staffing shortage at the moment, so patience is key if you're in a rush. Major shoutout to Lisa. She was my local superhero the other day. She saw me combing the isles and asked if I needed help. I told her what I needed and she then managed to cut the highest gauge chain they had available, using the stores finicky hydraulic cutting machine. At about 4 feet worth, it felt as heavy duty as my Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Chain that I currently have wrapped around my moped. And for only $29, t'was significantly cheaper. Oh and they never yell at me when I walk around the store with my bike or electric scooter in tow.”
