Absolutely out of control ridiculous pricing. I was charged more than double for a 12 pack of high noon and when I called I was told it was a "specialty" drink. This beverage is available in a 12 pack for $17.99 at every single liquor store in the surrounding area including Target in Kingston let alone the grocery stores in Arkville. I would highly advise anyone looking to buy alcohol not to shop at this location because they will absolutely take advantage of you and then make up excuses as to why they stole your money. Absolutely terrible place to shop I do not recommend this location whatsoever. This is 100% price gouging and I will be contacting the better Business bureau to report this price gouging because it's unethical unfair and honestly pathetic that a business feels the need to up their price by over 100% to people who live only a few miles away. Disgusting behavior.

Great experience working with Margaretville Liquor Store and Jim, the owner. I got married up the road in Roxbury and they supplied all the wine and liquor for the reception. Jim was a consummate professional, helping us figure out how much of everything we’d need, advising on brands, and coordinating with our bartender. Jim delivered the goods to the venue precisely on time and even took photos on delivery so I could verify the amounts before arriving. Afterwards, they bought back the cases we didn’t use. Great guy to work with and great prices. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Well the Margaretville liquor store was owned by the Yeakel family for as long as I could remember it is now Under New Management when Steve left that broke my heart because to me that was the end of a friendship more or less but the new owners and manager and the workers that are in the store now are absolutely wonderful they are very helpful knowledgeable and have great suggestions on things with the pair with did they just absolutely wonderful to deal with you will do yourself a favor by stopping at the margaretville liquor store on Main Street in margaretville New York❤

I bought a white wine instead of red. It was dark in the store, and it looked like the red. I wanted to exchange it a few days later because I bought a specific brand for a guest and realized the mistake when I went to serve it. They don't drink white wine, and I'm allergic to all wines. The ladies working refused to exchange it, claiming it was against the law. That's a lie. I've had to exchange and even return wine in New York before.
I only go to this store in a pinch now. Otherwise, I make the trip to Roxbury since the other store in Arkville closed.

OG wine/liquor shop in this part of the woods. New, friendly owner expanding the natural wine selection, and they have some great spirits on offer. Always prefer to support the businesses that have been here for a while.

Steve is great! He's always calm and helpful. The selection mostly middle of the road but you can alway find a solid bottle of wine for that special occasion too.

Great little spot to grab some libations. Remember it’s NYState and you can’t buy beer or mixers here, but the Freshtown grocery is a block away to solve that problem! There was a wide variety of liquor at competitive prices.
