We purchased two leather chairs made by Stickley Furniture about five years ago. In less than two years the leather had failed miserably. I would have never purchased these chairs for over $5,000 a piece if I had known had badly they would look in such a short amount of time. BUYER BEWARE -- STICKLEY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.

This had been a tour we had talked about doing for years. Given it is only held Tuesday mornings it was not easy to do until we stopped working. We trekked the 1.5 hours to Manlius east of Syracuse and checked in at their front desk in the lobby. There were over 20 people given a group was there with a van of 10.- the receptionist was taken aback by the crowd. Maybe they should do reservations to prevent surprises. Our tour guide George did a great job touring us through the plant. It helped to have the headsets so we could hear him over the factory noise. This also helped with such a big group. Overall very interesting If you are a woodworker or just a fan of good design this tour is worth the trip. I also now understand why Stickley furniture is so expensive!

This is a review for the tour of the factory where the furniture is made. One of the best factory tours I've ever been on - the guide had worked in the factory and so was very knowledgeable, in addition to being an entertaining speaker (great headphones for the tour, by the way). Absolutely fascinating to be walked through the entire process for making furniture, from picking out the wood to cutting and sanding to finishing. I'd also recommend the small Stickley Museum, which is about a 2-minute drive from the factory. It's located on the second floor of the public library (which has a little cafe in it - more libraries should do that!).
