This place is extremely racist Me and my friend went to this Chanel location to buy some earrings for her daughters birthday and as soon as we walked in we got dirty looks from a black security guard who then signaled a white woman to get the silent alarm ready like we were going to go in there and snatch stuff and run and might I remind you were Latino if we were black it would have been even worse as we walked further into the store we noticed another black security guard Giving us a dirty look like we don't belong here standing there trying to look all intimidating when there not even 6ft tall thankfully they didn't have the earrings we wanted so we didn't spend any money in this racist location if you're a minority latino black or any brown dont shop here they will treat you like dirt

Staff is not welcoming at all, I'm not sure if it's because I'm brown but they did not want to help me purchase an item, absolutely worst customer service will not recommend coming here.

Warning: long review lol. So I bought a card holder there at the Chanel before with the help of Pandora and previously Nina assisted me as well..both nice ladies. That's why I gave it 2 stars. However the most recent time I went there was NOT pleasant. Came straight from work so I was in scrubs...that may be why I got those snotty looks from the staff!! Anyway I found the Boy WOC I've been searching for a while. Once I took it down from the shelf to look at, a younger darker skin sales lady comes up to me, takes the bag away and while placing it back on the shelf is like, "um can I help you?" I said...uh yeah, do you have that in any other colors. She said she'll check and led me to the back. No luck so I asked for the one that I was looking at before. She brought it to me...no eye contact...not friendly at all...no interest in my sale!! I literally was going to buy it on the spot. Then to top it off...ugh, so I kept my own Chanel card holder on the glass counter while I examined the WOC and being the OCD perfectionist I am, I keep the plastic on the CC emblem just because. She sees my wallet and is like, "um is that yours?" I said yes as I took it back into my pocket. Then she says in such a snotty tone, "Why you still have the plastic on it? You know nothing bad will happen to it?!"....okay leave me alone! Done deal. I was annoyed. I gave the WOC back to her and was like BYE. It's just the complete unfriendliness, the poor customer service, and the fact that I didn't feel welcome walking into that store. So maybe I didn't look "rich" but you should never underestimate how people want to spend there hard earned money, even if they don't look like they're loaded, ya know? I called hubby in the store telling him I found the WOC I've been looking for but didn't wanna buy it from such a bitchy saleswoman. She's not getting my commission. Never going there again!!!! (Unless I feel like calling Nina or Pandora again..then maybe)

I went yesterday and felt like a VIP! Everyone was very nice to me, and it made my shopping experience very pleasant and relaxed. Anjeanette helped me find the perfect pumps! She gave me some helpful tips, and had amazing energy! I did not feel rushed, or judged because I was not dressed to the nines as higher end shops oft have a reputation for. My only complaint? That I could not buy all of the shoes I tried one! I narrowed them all done to the Opyum kid leather pumps, and they are art in motion! They really made me stand out at the event I attended last night! I cannot wait to return for more shoes!

Pretty hilarious reading all the reviews because most of the reviews about SAs are true; however, I have a tad of a different take on it. It may also be because of my characteristic. Normally when I go shopping, I do not like to be bothered nor do I like it when SA are overly friendly (it is awkward and fake). When they start following me around I ask, "Did you want to help me? You should just ask" I will reach out to you if I need anything. With that, I have been to Hirshleifers a good number of times and yes, I was greeted with a "blank stare" but I just stare back at them and continue to browse. At the end of the day I know what I want and why I am there. For example, I went to Chanel, walked in, SAs looked at me up and down and I reciprocated the look to see which one of them has style, taste and could help me. I then proceeded to look around the store. I asked a lady if she could help and she then led me to Pam. She was patient, helpful, and when I asked for specific colors, she opened up all their doors and told me that was all they had (sometimes selections are slim here but I don't want to risk trekking all the way out to Manhattan and bring back a ginormous Chanel bag on the LIRR train). I had a lovely experience with her (short and sweet). They wrapped my bag nicely and she explained everything. It was a win-win situation. She made a sale, I got my bag and that's it. I would also like to add, I went into the store with nothing fancy on me. Just sneakers, leggings, a turtleneck and huge (non-Moncler) puffer.

Love this store! They have some amazing selections from great designer brands. Bought a pair of Chanel shoes here that I couldn't find anywhere else. I noticed a lot of people on here were reviewing the customer service as awful. I had a very different experience though! Andrew was extremely friendly and down to earth. Greeted my mom & I as we walked in & was very helpful. This was my first time at this store & Andrew even gave me a tour around. Great experience here & I love my shoes. I will be returning!

If you want a salesperson that's gonna take care of you and give you the experience you are looking for ask for ANITA!! She took her time with me (I said I was just window shopping), was so kind, and explained everything. She's been there for years and knows her stuff.

I wasn't able to make it into the store but Thomas helped me over the phone! I ordered a pair of Chanel sneakers for my husband's birthday and Thomas helped me to the best of his ability. He answered the million questions I had and the sneakers came when he said they would. Thank you Thomas & Hirshleifer's for making my husband's day!

The reviews are all true -- many of the SA's are pretentious and downright snooty. Earlier this week I had a great time shoe shopping with Andrew. He brought me out several new styles to try on, brought me wine and was truly a sweetheart. After I selected some sandals, he recommended that I peek into the Chanel boutique to find a piece to complement them. It was downhill from there. Talk about mean and fake! I walked back to the shoe area, signed the receipt and took off! On my way out I stopped in the sale area and was greeted by a beautiful young lady named Debbie. She was such a gem -- super personable and friendly. If you are interested in shopping there, please ask for them.

Horrible service. I asked if they had a particular Chanel lipstick and they asked me if I lived in the area. Nasty. I rose above it as I wanted the shade, but they still never called me to say it came in. Then two months later I went in to get a Chanel wallet serviced and they can't as they are privately owned and not a real Chanel. It's like when you go to a fake Starbucks and can't use the app. Yet they sell Luxury?? Very confusing.

DISGUSTINGGGGG people. It's really funny when THE HELP act like they're the 1%...... please stop playing yourselves, it's pathetic. I came in with my mom & sister because my sister wanted to buy a wallet. For 1, NO ONE greeted us. You work in a high end shop & this is how you're trained? Gross. 2, one woman was approaching to help us while her coworker stops her by the arm and OUT LOUD has the AUDACITY to SAY: DONT EVEN BOTHER. THEYRE NOT EVEN GOING TO BUY ANYTHING. So the woman pulled back and they stood around like the worthless humans they are. These broads should be fired immediately. I can come and spend 8 hours staring at ONE wallet and walk out empty handed if I wanted to. You're paid to stand there and HELP. Why? BECAUSE YOURE THE HELP. You work at a retail level store for a reason while the rest of us doctors and bankers have real jobs so we can put food on your table. Please do NOT spend your money on this garbage place.

I'm really not surprised at the low reviews of this place as I would give zero stars if I could. To quote some of the other reviewers, the service here makes you feel like s**** Yes, it seems like they have a great inventory and keep their stores in great condition, but due to the abysmal customer service I received, I will never ever make a purchase here. My mom and I went today because I wanted to physically see the Classic vs Boy Chanel card holders before making a final decision on which one to buy. Since we live on Long Island, we figured Hirshleifers would save us a trip into Manhattan. Firstly when we entered, no one greeted us, although there seemed to be at least 6-7 associates milling about and not helping customers. I understand that they probably get a lot of people who come in just to browse and then leave without purchasing anything, but for a high end boutique shop, I was at least expecting a greeting and a "can I help you?" As I made my way towards the back of the store to look for the card holders, once again I noticed that even though it wasn't busy, nobody was trying to help me. My mom, who was walking behind me, mentioned later that she noticed one associate start to walk towards us, but then another associate held her back and said "DON'T BOTHER, THEY'RE NOT GOING TO BUY ANYTHING." I didn't know that this was said until my mom told me after we left, otherwise I would have left immediately. And the funny thing is I walked into the store with every intention of making a purchase and establishing myself as a client. Then when I finally went out of my way to get someone to help me, I was shown the available card cases and told that the two styles that I was interested in were out of stock. Instead of offering to order it for me, or giving me a timeline of when I could expect the card holders to come back in stock, I was rudely told "well why don't you just call Chanel in the city and see if they have it in stock." Well then, now none of my future purchases will ever be made at this location. And now I'll enjoy a day out shopping in Manhattan. Maybe other people don't care as long as they get their products without having to go all the way into the city, but for me I'd rather spend my money at an institution that respects its customers and provides a level of service that reflects the reputation of the brands they sell. But tbh after reading so many negative reviews of this place, it seems like the management doesn't care at all, since clearly nothing has changed in terms of how customers are treated here. Oh well, this is one yelper's business you'll never get back.
