I have only has a good experience with employees at the TRUSTCO bank at exit 12. Very nice and helpful. I'm not fond of some of TRUSTCO policies/practices/systems(issues at bank level), but that should not be reflected of their work.

I wish I could leave zero stars this Greedy scummy bank charged me overdraft fees while their bank WAS CLOSED during the hurricane. Then cut my debit card off preventing me from making a deposit. Stay far away from this lousy bank. In addition they have antiquated ATMs that do not work all the time. Just terrible .

Trustco will take your money using their Bill Pay system and steal it out of your account. Branch manager and customer service will just lie to you repeatedly. Take your banking elsewhere. Trust me

I had to go into the bank to cash my check. I didn’t have an account and the tellers walked me through what I had to do to get my money. I am considering switching to Trustco because they seemed to care about me and my money.

Sat at the drive- thru way to long! A simple check cash took way to long! Had another car pull up was waited on before me, after I sat there 5 minutes! Complete transaction to simply cash a check took 15 + min!

Buyer beware! Please be extremely cautious about dealing with this bank for your mortgage. They will bait and switch and charge you a lot more than originally quoted when you're too far down the line to change. I was quoted a $1500 refinance and it ended up costing me triple that amount because the bank manager had no idea what she was talking about.

I had an appointment today with Carmen Ramjeet. My experience was awesome, she was so kinda and thoughtful. I had a lot of banking to do and she followed through with everything. I feel everyone in the bank was kind and upbeat. Wonderful experience thank you!

From a visit on 12/14/2018 in the afternoon, Extremely rude and unprofessional. Had to stop in at the branch for a bank check for a closing, this is not my typical branch, I am a personal as well as a commercial customer at Trustco with multiple accounts. The tellers were absurdly rude, comments, snotty attitude, acted like I was putting them out by asking for a bank check. I asked if they could waive the bank check fee and the teller advised that no, she would not. The manager also declined to waive the $6 fee because in her words, "We did not receive any of the forms to waive a fee this week, I need a form and they didn't send us any". Really, a branch manager cannot waive a $6 fee without a form? I can understand a bank not wanting to waive fees, I recognize it is a courtesy and cannot be an expectation, but the nasty attitude is what I can do without. While I was waiting for the manager to sign the check (15 minutes waiting) I was able observe two tellers interacting with several other customers as well as the manager interacting with a customer. I have never seen a teller treat several customers in a row this badly from a simple check cashing to a deposit, both tellers were equally disappointing. Rude to the point that a person cashing a ~$100 check was told she could not be provided any $10 bills because the teller "doesn't have any in my drawer". The customer asked if she could get $10's from another teller and the teller waiting on her said "No, that her money and I already started the transaction". Well Trustco, your rude manager and attitude has cost you significant business. I just re-papered two real estate deals and moved them to another local bank, you just lost two major accounts you didn't even know you had. This was a major hassle for me and a small cost up front, but money goes where it is treated best!!!!

I have never left a negative review on a business, but I have never felt so enraged by the carelessness and just general disregard for customers. Have been with them for far too long, I realize now. Their security was breached- I was notified by letter months ago that they'd be sending me a new card. I should've moved on right then and there, sorry but if anything, a bank should be secure... They never sent it but fast forward to two weeks ago when I went to pay for something and my card was declined. I went in the next day, and was informed I never got the card because my street name was off by a letter. I found that weird, as I have been with them for 7 years or so and never had a problem. The lady behind the counter was nice, she told me they would rush it free of charge because it was their fault and I'd have it in 3 business days. I waited a few days and called to see if they could provide me with a status. The branch manager was clearly not listening to a word I said and informed me first to call a different number. I did, the person I reached said I needed to call the branch back. At this point I'm done but I called back. She answers with an attitude and tells me it can't be rushed because the issue wasn't regarding fraud. OKAY super convenient. Today when I finally got my card, I call the number to activate it... THEY DON'T HAVE MY BIRTHDAY CORRECT. I'm now locked out and can't activate my card to use my own money.
