I've been a customer and it got paid Eye Care for a few years now but recently had an insurance change happen at the same time as a vision issue in one of my eyes. After waiting for more than a week for my appointment I arrived only to be told that because of the nature of my appointment, my insurance didn't cover 100% of it and was required to pay $40 for a copay that my secondary insurance would have covered had they not refused to take it. So I asked if I could possibly be billed and was flatly and rudely refused. I guess if I'm going to have a stroke, burst aneurysm, or go blind then so be it. Hopefully I can find another eye doctor with a little bit of compassion and isn't so about the money as Dr Crow and Agape Eye Care are. These people were literally going to refuse to treat me unless I paid the $40 up front.

I've been a customer for a few years now and recently hand an insurance change at the same time I suffered from kaleidoscope vision. When I arrived at my appointment I was told that although my insurance covers optical, the reason for my visit made the doctor all of a sudden into a specialist with a $40 copay. I was also informed that my secondary insurance, which would have paid for the copay was not accepted by them. So since I was not expecting to have to pay a $40 copay I asked if I could be billed and was flatly refused . So I guess if I'm going to have a stroke, aneurysm burst, or go blind I'll find out when it happens while I'm trying to find a new eye doctor.

This is the best place to go. Dr Crowe knows her stuff, and is extremely thorough during the eye exam. Gary, the optician, helps to explain your options with insurance and finding the right combination of contacts, lenses or both that work for you. All support staff are excellent and you see the team vibe the minute you enter. They all know what they're doing, and they all take the time to make the focus about you, the patient. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is searching for quality eye care.Sarah C

I went here for a pair of safety glasses for my job and walked out with safety glasses and a new pair of normal glasses. The staff here are very friendly and the man who attended me was awesome. I don't remember his name but he is the Mexican guy. We had great conversations and he got me into a new pair of glasses even though I wasn't there for them. I highly recommend this shop for glasses

Show up 10 minutes early, wait over half an hour past your appointment time that you had to wait a month for. Used to be better.Update: No mention of a delay during my extended wait, zero communication whatsoever.

I had my first visit to Agape Eye Care, after being with a larger chain for years, and was very pleased with the service. The staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Crowe did a thorough eye exam, walking me through each step. She explained what she saw, which fortunately wasn't anything for concern. She entered an update in my eye glass prescription, which will be ready in about a week and a half. I plan on using this office again in the future.

Had a Very Good Experience at Agape. Had an issue with some lenses and thought there was not much Agape could do. Some chipping that was a tough call but they stood behind their product and went above and beyond to take care of the issue. I thought there would be a cost involved but surprisingly there was not. They truly made me a Happy Customer. It’s Rare that a company takes such personal pride in their product and Service.Thank you Agape for a very Refreshing customer experience .

Went there about a year ago. It took almost two months and three calls to get an appointment. Then had to go in for a follow up appointment which they didn't understand why I was there. The cost of contacts were significantly more than my old doctor. I will say though the doctors prescription was accurate.

The staff in general was very friendly and paid attention to our questions with exception of Dr. Kathleen Crowe.I don’t know if she wasn’t having a good day but she showed to be very impatient with my wife and I, at one point she almost bumped the ophthalmoscope on my wife’s face, not mentioning that she answered her personal phone while doing the exam.By the way, wasn’t a cheap trip so we expected a little more based on all the reviews posted here.Am I going to give it another try? Nope.Wish I could post a better review but this was our experience.

This place is clean, professional, and EVERYBODY is so so so nice. I was very nervous for my appointment and I can’t say enough nice things. Maxine explained everything and made sure I was comfortable during the exam - I wish I could give this place TEN STARS!

Unfortunately I would only give a 1 star review. I called weeks ahead of time to get an appointment and there was only availability on a day I worked, so I made sure to ask if they can do what I wanted which was a Tint permit for my car due to sunlight sensitivity from eye surgery I had, I brought all paper work with me for them to fill out. Receptionist was supper nice and kind and checked to see if this is something they would be able to do.keep in mind I already have Tint permits on my vehicles and they just have to be renewed. I was told yes they will be able to help me but when the day came to my appointment I was told to just wear sunglasses when I drive I don't need to have tints on my car with out evan an examination of my eyes to see all the scar tissue i have, just sat in the chair and was told that and didnt get to explain how sunglasses bother my face just to find another eye doctor to help me. Yes that was upsetting and a waste of my time but what was more upsetting was when I first arrived to my appointment I filled out the packet for new patients and as I was doing so, a doctor came out of her office to Scold the receptionist on taking a box of tissues out of the room to place next to her, that she stated was already there in the beginning and got moved into the room somehow. Not a big deal but if your going to yell at your receptionist over something very small in a work environment, I didn't suggest patients to be treated any better. Both receptionist working that day were very nice and helpful and I give them 5 stars.
