Baldwin Place Animal Hospital is an amazing place. Dr.Haims is such a great caring and knowledgeable veterinary. The staff is always such a pleasure to deal with. They treat your animal as if it belonged to them.

Dr. Haims is the most thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable vet. He has taken such great care of three of our dogs. When our beloved Shea past away he called to check on us, sent a card and made a donation in her name. His thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. When our other dog was diagnosed with cancer he went above and beyond to give us all the options and guide us with the best treatment for her. He will take time to answer all of the questions and make sure you’re comfortable with the answers. He is a genuine caring and knowledgeable vet. His staff is also loving and sweet with the dogs and are always willing to help. I highly recommend Dr. Haims and his staff. They are simply the best!!

Dr, Haims and the staff are all absolutely amazing! I've been going to them since 2007 and they've always been honest and so helpful with caring for our furry family members. 1000% would recommend to everyone, and wont ever go anywhere else!

Dr. Haims and the team at Baldwin Place Animal Hospital have provided my dog Bailey with outstanding care for the past 3 years. I usually don't post reviews but I felt compelled to do so because it was excellent prior posts that led me to consider Baldwin Place Animal Hospital. My dogs are family members and I expect them to be treated that way. After years of using a different veterinary hospital and having my dog's primary vet changed multiple times due to turnover, and always feeling like the vet had one foot out the door to the next patient, I had had it. I started looking into vets in the Mahopac/Carmel area and after reading comments posted for BPAH I decided to bring my dog to meet Dr. Haims and find out his style of care, personality, and his vaccination philosophy. Needless to say, 3 years later my only regret is that I didn't change vets much, much sooner. Dr. Haims is an outstanding vet! He and his entire staff are friendly, caring and compassionate for pets and their owners. Dr. Haims is thorough and listens. He does not push over-vaccination, takes into consideration the pet's health, and is agreeable to titering. He takes time to answer questions and provide advice and details all options for treatment and their estimated costs. He knew my dog, his personality, his health and his issues. I NEVER felt like he was in a hurry to get to his next patient. I also greatly appreciated that everything wasn't focused on expansive testing and treatment but instead took a less invasive and tiered approach. He would say, "Lets start with this first and see the results" and expand steps as needed and if absolutely necessary. He returns calls to discuss results, treatments, and any concerns. On the rare occasion of a cut paw or emergency he fit Bailey in to assess and address the situation. He also consulted with specialists, as needed, on test results and treatment for our Bailey. When Bailey required use of an eye specialist Dr. Haims suggested an excellent doctor. No matter what the situation was, my family and I knew we could turn to Dr. Haims and his team for help, answers, and advice. We are grateful for their outstanding care for our Bailey and have and would continue to recommend Baldwin Place Animal Hospital to others!

My cat was very sick and needed emergency care. This place was the nearest so we brought him there. After about half an hour the doctor calls us and tells us he’s basically dying and needs care right away. They told us they needed $1800 right away to even touch him. The banks were closed so we couldn’t get the entire 1800 that second. He proceeds to tell us how sick our cat is but since we have no money in his hand he won’t help. Awful awful people. We brought our baby to a different hospital and he was taken very good care of and his doing very well now.

I adopted my two dogs and the previous owners used Baldwin Place Animal Hospital. I stayed with them and I am so happy I did. Dr Haimes and all the staff are wonderful. I would recommended Baldwin Place Animal Hospital to everyone.

Dr. Haims and staff are the kindest, most professional vet and vet techs around. We have a number of rescue dogs and cats - I would not trust anyone else.
When our Dino became ill and passed, Dr. Haims treated him with the utmost care, did not try to make money from us by recommending unnecessary treatment, and - even - made a donation to vet college in Dino’s name.
Absolutely the best.
