Great, laidback environment. Got to visit with animals up for adoption. Friendly volunteers and workers. Disappointed with my recent visit to Lollypop Farm. Glad we got to visit HSWC.

I just adopted 4 1/2 year old Pretty Girl (cat) after she had waited a very long time to find her forever home. She needed a quiet home, to be the only pet since she didn’t get along with others, was very scared and did not want to be petted and ran back into her cage. After less than a day of quiet, she came out of hiding, jumped up on the sofa and stood on my lap, wanting pets and head scratches. The staff does a great job to find the perfect match home for their furry friends. Please consider adopting a pet that deserves a chance and is waiting for you.

The staff is caring and always concerned about all the animals. We adopted two cats and they give us much joy. They go camping with us and enjoy watching the birds and such. We have supported them for many years and will continue to do so.

I went to see about siameese cat got buddy he is older but most lovable and fits in my family perfectly he gets along with my 3 dogs I fell so in love with him a great cat

We adopted a dog from here. All the staff were wonderful and very helpful. It was a great experience and I highly recommend going here if rescuing an animal is in your future.

Who ever the guy is that answers calls / returns calls, you should have you job taken. You are extremely rude, condescending and uneducated on the real world. I called to have a problem stray dropped off safely, and he talked me in circled to try to confuse me. Kept insisting I call the dog warden who I've already spoken to and told me they could not help. Ended the call by telling me to call the humane society again ( while I was already on the phone with the humane society) so instead of simply allowing me to check in a stray dog, I have to leave him wandering the streets to be hit or worse, attack another dog or human. Very disappointed.very unprofessional. Very freakin rude,frankly. Not sure what you guys actually DO, but it's never been simple or easy to save an animal from certain death in the streets while dealing with WAYNE COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY. Horrible
