Awful. Made a reservation for a certain type of car online (through AAA). When we arrived they said they didn't have the car and we'd have to pay significantly more for the next size up, despite confirmed, guaranteed reservation. This is fraud and is so transparently cheating customers (like, in our case, we needed a car for that day and had zero choice). AVOID. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and with AAA, through whom we booked the confirmed reservation.

I reserved a Tesla and paid advance online two weeks ago. First got to the Lynbrook location 30 minutes early to pick up the car. The staffs are rude and unprofessional. They told me I am 30 minutes early. No Teala available. I told them I reserved two weeks ago and paid advance. They told me to sit down and wait until they find the Teala. Are they kidding me. That's how the staffs treat the customer. I sat down and I am the only customer. The staffs not even try to locate the Teala for me. They just chat with each other with their personal matter. That's how they treat the president circle customer. I am surprised Hertz customer service.

Let me start by saying how grateful I am for the customer service that Jhigs and Vonna provided. I had reserved an SUV for Saturday. I arrived at or about 11:30 am to pick it up, however they only had electric cars. This became a huge inconvenience because I needed an SUV for where I was traveling- 3 hours away to see my kids. I was going to take them bike riding in the trails. Anyway, chargers out there a few and far. I had to waste an hour of my precious time to charge the car up to be able to return to NY. So when I returned home today, I went to 2 different charging stations but they were all full. When I returned the car, I explained to Jhigs the situation and asked if she can waive the fee they charge for not returning the car on a full charge. She granted the waiver and had Vonna, who is a sweetheart, take care of me. With all that said, you have to understand it’s not the employees that are responsible for not having sufficient vehicles for specific cars- it’s Hertz and sadly, they leave the burden on the employee. Being in customer service myself, I am fully aware how things work with corporations and ask that if any future customers experience some sort of inconvenience, that is beyond control of the employees, to understand and not take your frustrations out on them, because there’s only certain things they can do to accommodate. My recommendation is to show up as early as possible to ensure your car is available.

Rent from this location when visiting from florida. They have after hours drop off, which is very convienet for my late Sunday departure back home. Close to Jfk airport. Friendly staff.

DO NOT RECOMMEND HERTZ. They try to bill you for damage that you did not cause. Then send it to collections, who will NEVER get off your back. Hertz is fraudulently attempting to collect more money than they are entitled to.

Reserved a Nissan pathfinder 7 seats go to pick up and they tell me they are gonna give me a free upgrade they don’t have any suvs which is what I reserved but they have a minivan absolutely not and it’s not an upgrade . Not to mention this place looks like a hole in the wall with employees who are talking on their phones while dealing with customers and he should have started off the conversation saying they didn’t have the car I reserved not take the credit card first and then say they can’t cancel there I have to call and cancel never again.

The worst thing you can choose, I would definitely NEVER return to this place. I made my reservation, I arrived before the time of my reservation and they did not assist me after 20 minutes of waiting only to be told that there were no vehicles available and that they were going to charge me the 40 dollar penalty for not being on time when I was waiting for 20 minutes to be attended to, and to make matters worse, very bad customer service and they are racist because of how they see you.

Worst service the guy with the dreads so incompatible and has no regards for customers u will be sitting with him finalizing ur rentals agreement and he will be distracted on his phone and a lot more it.a shame

Made a reservation online, called the place before I got there to make sure they had what I made a reservation for and they did have one option for 4X4 left in standard suv and they held it for me till I got there. The smoothest operation to rent a car it went so quick and easy the staff helped a lot by making it super pleasant. The car was brand new and spotless clean on the inside smelled brand new. I will 100% use hertz and this location any and every time I have to rent a car again. And the rates are very very reasonable. Thank you hertz for making my experience so pleasant (UNLIKE ENTERPRISE WHICH IS HORRIBLE) can’t wait to keep renting cars from you guys and get some points while being a hertz gold member and get some future rewards and discount promotions from being a hertz gold plus rewards member!!!

Be aware of this place. Especially dealing with the guy that work there. I booked a rental through AAA with insurance and they then charged me twice for insurance knowing I got insurance with AAA. Once i saw the charges i called them and now they are not refunded me for the extra $100 they charged me.

Make sure you get here early to pickup the car. The location is way understaffed. Also staff not too friendly. Had to wait 45 min for someone to acknowledge me
