1 Year ago my 4 legged friend suffered a torn ACL on her back right leg. She could barely get up to go to the bathroom. We live in Philadelphia Pa. We visited multiple surgeons in the area for help and guidance. Knowing that she would need surgery on both legs I was receiving prices of 10 - 12 Thousand dollars. I could not raise that kind of money...... We live in a townhouse with steps. She could not do the steps anymore. Do you understand what this is leading too.. She is not 4 years old yet.I called DR. Jeff's office in Colorado for advise. I'm up late on the internet learning about ACl surgery and Countryside Veterinary Clinic website pops up. To Samantha and I this is a miracle. I asked for an appointment and they said yes. I'm 8 hours away and my dog can't walk can you help me and they said yes. When we arrived the day of the surgery I explained that I had xrays taken a week ago and our Vet said the left leg would need to be done. I asked can you do both side together and DR Pauley said YES.
From the bottom of my heart I'm going to tell you that they are the best in the business and truly care about what they are doing. I drove 8 hours x4 and would do it again for my dog. Today 1 year after the injury she took off after a deer. running. To me it's a Miracle. Thank you So much Dr Pauley and the staff.. Sincerely Stephen D and Samantha

Countryside vet helped us through one of the toughest moments we’ve had to endure as a family. Saying goodbye to our family dog Rosco, of 10+ years, so suddenly. We didn’t have an established vet so it took some calling around to find a vet that was willing to provide care in an emergency situation. From the moment we parked the staff was so compassionate. When we received the news that we would have a tough decision to make, they gave us all the time we needed to come to terms with it. The veterinarian was very thorough in explaining our options. It was such an unforeseen circumstance but I’m glad Countryside Vet was there & willing to help us through. I will always be grateful.

They were absolutely amazing! From the 1st call to the front desk and the vet herself. Very friendly and Norm felt comfortable with the vet. Sadly there isn't anything we can do for her . She has a malignant tumor. She is 12 . I thank Countryside for all they could do and I will definitely be taking my fur babies there again

If awarding negative stars were possible, Countryside Veterinary Clinic would be drowning in them. This establishment, with its shockingly inept team, provided the most appalling experience I've ever endured. If you care even slightly about your pets, stay far away!
When I took my puppy in for a Lyme booster, they mistakenly attempted to administer a distemper vaccine, despite my explicit instructions that only the Lyme booster was needed. This should have been my first red flag to avoid this clinic entirely.
The situation worsened when I brought my 9½-year-old Newfoundland, who has had double knee surgery, hip dysplasia, and severe tendon laxity, to the clinic. Instead of assigning her to an experienced vet familiar with complex cases, the front office staff placed her with their newest veterinarian, Dr. Coscomb. While Dr. Coscomb was polite, she seemed unfamiliar with my dog's intricate condition and performed a superficial examination. The real issue lay with the disorganized and indifferent front office staff, including Maggie, Becky, and Ashley. The reception area was chaotic, and their outdated practice of not using computers for prescriptions only added to the inefficiency. I was unable to get any pain medication for my dog at the clinic, and Chewy ended up being far more helpful than this dismal office.
In June, when my dog's condition worsened, I called the clinic in tears, hoping to adjust her medications for comfort. The office staff promised a callback that never came. Despite multiple follow-ups, they claimed to have contacted me, but I had no record of missed calls or messages. I had to drive three hours to pick up a prescription, only to find it incomplete because the vet failed to include the DEA number. This forced me to make another three-hour trip for a new prescription, highlighting their incompetence.
Lauren Felix, the HR Manager, was shockingly rude and uncooperative. She exhibited classic narcissistic behavior, deflecting responsibility and gaslighting me, showing more concern for her own ego than for addressing my dog’s suffering. They blamed me for choosing a distant vet based on false ratings, which only added to their egregious lack of empathy.
The clinic's incessant excuse-making is nauseating. They tried to shift the blame onto me for the supposed mistake of choosing them. Their conduct has been nothing short of a nightmare, characterized by lies, hostility, and a blatant disregard for animal welfare. They even had the audacity to send a certified letter terminating our vet-client relationship, accusing me of poor communication, despite their own failings—ironically hilarious, given that I had already made it clear that their establishment was a complete disaster and I would never tolerate their incompetence again.
This clinic should have its license revoked for its appalling practices. If you value your pet’s health, mental well-being, and money, avoid this clinic like the plague. Report their blatant lies and poor practices to the New York State Veterinary Medical Society and other regulatory agencies. Thank your stars if you haven’t yet had the misfortune of dealing with this abysmal establishment.
Updated 7/15/2024: I spoke with Lauren Felix, their HR Manager, who refused to help in any way. She was shockingly rude and condescending, even more unhelpful than the rest of the staff. Dr. Coscomb was nice but likely unaware of the situation, as her staff wouldn't allow me to leave a message to get a different pain medication for my dog. This vet clinic should have its license revoked for its blatant disregard for animal welfare. Avoid this place like the plague!!!

Can’t recommend enough! we recently moved from out of state and couldn’t find anyone to take us on as a new patient or see our dog as an emergency. Countryside took us seriously and got us in asap. Sadly it was the worst news, we were beyond shocked. But all of the staff were very supportive, caring, and informative. Dr. Pauly took the time to explain her cancer in terms we would understand and let us know what to expect and when to make the call. You can tell they really care about their patients. Thank you very much for helping our sweet Akira.

All of the staff are fantastic, and they really care about your animals! I needed a last minute appointment and they went out of their way to make sure my fur babies were able to be seen. The doctor was really personable, and it was easy to see he was there for his patients. 100% would recommend!

This is our second visit to see the folks at Countryside and Dr. Allen who performed ACL surgery on our dog Lucy. I can’t thank this team of dedicated, compassionate, and knowledgeable folks enough. This is by far the nicest vet office we have ever visited. Each and every staff member is kind and helpful. I was never treated as if I was bothering them with my zillions of questions. If I didn’t get an immediate answer I was called back within the hour and even spoke with Dr. Allen and the Dr. on duty who reassured me that everything would be ok. Any concern I had for Lucy was just a standard outcome of surgery. She went through both surgeries with flying colors. We drove in from Rochester and stayed overnight for her surgery. Well worth the drive. Dr. Allen’s method and the price are what initially brought us to countryside. I have already made the decision if there is ever any future issues with our Lucy the first and only place I will take her is countryside and Dr. Allen even with the 2.5 hour drive. Thank you for everything :)
