Mario and the entire Transmissions R Us team are incredible. They are knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and always do everything they can to ensure that you're receiving the highest quality service. One thing that I love is that Mario not only does a great job with my car but he also takes the time to educate me on transmissions so that I have a strong understanding of what's being done with my vehicle.
Mario has been my transmission guy for over 10 years and every interaction with him has been stellar. I always feel like family everytime I come through.
I even come to Transmissions R Us to get my annual inspection. I promise that you won't be disappointed.

They do lousy work you will spend $2,400 on a rebuilt transmission for it to break down exactly 12000 miles later avoid them at all cost save your money go elsewhere

I recently had an outstanding experience at Transmissions R Us in Long Island City. Mario, the owner, provided exceptional service that exceeded all my expectations. Within a year, I had the misfortune of needing to replace the transmission on my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder not once, but twice due to previous poor workmanship elsewhere. Mario not only sourced a genuine OEM Nissan transmission for me but also installed a new transfer case, all covered by CarShield.
His ability to handle everything with such professionalism and transparency was refreshing. Mario was thorough in keeping me informed throughout the process, even sending me pictures of the old and new parts, which really helped build my trust in what I was buying. I recently bought a 2009 Town and Country Van with a Rebuilt Transmission which was rebuilt by a shop in West Hampton on March 15th . The Transmission failed on me and only the original owner was covered with their Warranty. I had the van towed to Hector and he rebuilt it the correct way and changed a abs sensor and did other stuff not involved with the transmission FREE OF CHARGE! I only paid him for the Rebuild of the transmission! He went over and beyond his call of Duty for me and my Van!! Im going to Transmissions R us Since 2015 and he did 3 Transmissions for me on 3 different Trucks and i never had a problem with them!! He is 1000.00 cheaper than the other shops and really cares about doing quality work! i wouldnt take my vehicles anywhere else!! He is the best in this Field!!

Had my 2016 Honda HRV transmission replaced here. Mario gave a fair price and gave me my car back in a reasonable amount of time. Went above and beyond to get car on done on time in a time where car parts are more expensive or hard to get. Very professional. Highly recommend for all your transmission needs.Service: Transmission

Had my truck repaired a year and a day ago from him. Rebuilt transmission. Today truck tranny dump fluid on LIE. Shop tells me it needs a cooler on the trans because the truck is overloaded. Truck has less tools and supply's in it then it ever did. Do not use this shop. Doesn't stand behind his work.

they have no experience in transmissions to charge the customer if they learned I took my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado and came back 2 more times for not doing the job well if you want to give money go with them

Update: it wasn't my transmission that was bad. It was My alternator that was going bad slowly over a course of a year. When my alternator went bad finally, I changed it because it was an emergency. After that my car never gave me an issue. I hope the owner reads this to keep in mind. Not all transmission issues are the same.Altima '09 4cyl White. Visit date 12/3/21 @ 11am.I came to this location because of the reviews and responses from the store owner.I went there because I'm having transmission issues, and the person (who i forgot to ask for his name) explained everything in detail.Being a mechanic (HVAC) myself, i did not read any ill intent from him. You know, like many mechanics out there who treat you like an ignorant and try to convince you to make unnecessary fixes just to rip you off.The person explained to me in detail and professionally what were the 3 possible issues going on with my transmission and told me of 2 fixes i could do myself. The third reason would be a bad transmission itself. He also implied its not worth it because CVT transmission for around 3.4k bucks.Charged me for a computer diagnosis and off i went on a quest to fix my car.As others have, I also recommend this location.

I fix my suburban transmission they gave 6 months warranty but first week I found problem my car take them back to fixed . But they kept my car in week and gave me back then I drove two week and found again same problem and take to them ! This time they kept my car three weeks without work then they gave me back but my car still problem , they didn’t properly fixed or they don’t know how to fix.There’s is two boss when you go back they showing each other that’s totally insane.Service: Transmission
