Does not keep their word. Stopped by twice for an oil change with an appointment. One mechanic didnt show up for work but i got there when they opened and there was a mechanic in the shop. To the owner. If you have an employee call out of work. Call another person in. It is common sense.
I just started working in the area. Not a good way to represent yourself to the public. Shame on you.

Stay away from this shop. Not only did they literally park my car illegally and it ended up getting impounded, lie numerous times about the work they were doing, but they didn't even fix my car. My driveway is now destroyed from oil leaks.

This place is a perfect example of why people don't trust mechanics. They take advantage of people they don't think are knowledgable and completely overcharge, sometimes not even fixing the problem you asked for in the first place.It is under new ownership as of a year and a half or so ago. All the good reviews here are from previous ownership. Do NOT take your car here anymore.

Horrible mechanic shop if you leave your car with them they may intentionally damage it to run the bill high. If your in Long Beach it’s better to go to Bobby at Long Beach auto. This place is the worst in Long Beach avoid if possible

Completely shady, dishonest business. Brought my car in yesterday morning for a NYS inspection. Got a call two hours later saying "I'm passing you but you REALLY need new brake pads immediately....before you do more damage to the car....I really shouldn't pass you on the inspection but just make sure you get them replaced ASAP" - I was skeptical but said thanks and asked what I owed. The guy said the price and then continued to talk about the brake pads and how it wouldn't cost much and they do it quick. I again said thanks and that I would get on top of it. Then I mentioned I wouldn't be picking up the car for several hours. To which I got a pause and then an "um...ok." Few minutes later I get a call again from the same guy. "Is this Christine?" I said yes. He goes "I called the wrong Christine before I think....see I have two cars right now belonging to Christine. I told you I'm passing you but your brake pads are ok for today? I got it wrong. Your rear ones are ok for now but I can't pass you with these front brake pads so I'm gonna replace them now." As anyone can probably imagine, I immediately smelled bulls**t and asked a few incredulous follow up questions and then basically said this is an incredibly shady story and bad lie, don't do a thing to my car, I'm coming to get it now. When I showed up the guy I spoke to as well as the woman behind the counter kept up the lie about the "other Christine" until finally I just demanded my keys back and left. Today I got my car inspected at Mobil on west park. Passed inspection. When I picked up the car I asked the mechanic about the brake pads. He said they are a little worn but nothing that would keep me from passing inspection and that I definitely have at least another 6 months or so on them. STAY AWAY FROM WEST END AUTOMOTIVE. SHADY LIARS! (And not even good liars at that.)
