They make it very difficult for you to cancel your membership. It's very slimy the way they do business. I hope the bbb strikes down on them soon.

Corrupt thieves. My daughter wrote a certified letter to cancel her membership last December. After six months they start charging again, out of the blue. We contacted them for a refund, they tell us that the account was only frozen. We didn’t keep the certified letter receipt from the cancellation six months ago, so we couldn’t show it to them, and they refused to refund us the money. What kind of nonsense is it to require a certified letter to discontinue services??? It suggests that they intend to do exactly the underhanded kind of things they pulled here. I’m disputing the charges with my credit card company.

Gym is clean, equipment little old but I like that it's not overly packed, and not on top of each other. I do wish they would turn the empty room on main level into a turf room with slam balls, some box steps, stability balls etc. Other than that, it's not glamorous but does the job..

Don't go here. Company policy to charge full amount during an account freeze and then we have to jump hoops to get a refund. No one is ever there to help. Your best bet is to go to the rec center. This place is beyond worthless.

This fitness club has the WORST customer service ever. I have been trying to cancel two memberships. I canceled both accounts 6 months ago as e owner suggested. He said he would take care of it. Turns out he didn't cancel the memberships he just put it to sleep for 6 months. All of a sudden I started getting billed $60 again. I went into the club and spoke to the manager, big guy with a beard and a bad attitude. I explained that I thought he cancelled my membership. He told me that I didn't ask him to cancel, I only asked him to put the membership on a 6 month hold. That's simply not true. I specifically asked to cancel the membership and he said he would. The. He tells me that in order to cancel my membership I have to send a letter, certified mail and return receipt requested to the business office. He gave me the address. That was on 11/9/2022. I went straight home and wrote the letter with all required information to cancel. I drove to the neighboring town post office and sent the letter certified mail and return receipt requested. Today, 11//22/2022, I get an email and a text from the post office telling me that the letter I sent has not been picked up at the PO Box the letter was mailed to and that if it's not picked up by tomorrow it will be returned to me. So I go back into the club and explain to another guy what's going on. I asked him if he could give me the number of the business office and he refused to. I asked him if he couldn't call and just let them know the letter was at the post office and that if it's not picked up by tomorrow it will be returned to me. He told he couldn't call them either! He told me to come back in a few days if the letter gets returned to me and then. He will call for me. At that point I said, "Well, if you can call them in a few days why can't you call them now?" He couldn't answer the question. So I asked again, why do I have to wait u til the letter is returned for you to make a call? He wouldn't answer. So basically this business wants to bill me as long as they can and leave the account open as long as they can. That's $60 a month. I told the guy at the club that I'm just going to turn off my credit card and dispute the charges. He told me that I can't do that and rant the company will get their money anyway. Unreal!!! The scam Synergy Fitness Clubs is perpetuating on customers who just want to cancel. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! Join Hollywood Fitness Club in Long Beach instead.

Do not use this gym, you cannot cancel your membership without writing a letter to "corporate" which is just a PO Box. How many people write letters by mail anymore? Use Hollywood Health club, they have a one month no commitment membership, easy cancellation.

They are awful for cancelling. I have repeatedly asked for someone to call me because I was told I can’t speak to anyone there. I sent a certified letter to cancel like they asked and they are now sending me to collections. I reported them to the BBB, this is an awful business to support.
