“This shop is an easy five star based on their inventory, staff knowledge and overall great atmosphere to shop in. Willis Hobbies has been around MIneola since 1949. Not only have they been a fabric of the community but they always show their commitment to Mineola through their participation in Village events. If you can think of it.... You'll find it here. Plenty of electric cars, models (that go up to 2,000 pieces), lots of model trains and trains-accessories. The beauty of the shop is that the team here are experts. Depending what you're looking for will determine who you speak with. There is value shopping in a store that understands your needs and advices you accordingly. They always set up race cars at the MIneola Street to become more involved and engaged with the residents. In summation... there are good people here. KUDOs top the team at Willis Hobbies.”
“My daughters party favors came out great and were a hit! We love KJ’s corner. Such a great spot for gifts, balloons and party favors. Definitely has a great assortment toys to choose from. Very unique things you can’t find anywhere else. Both staff and owner are amazing!”
“The owners know all their products and are very experienced with importing merchandise that otherwise might be difficult to attain here in the States. From Transformers to Gundam, from Power Rangers to Ultraman, from One Piece to Jujutsu Kaisen, they’ve quite literally have it all. My brother and I will be frequenting this spot quite a lot in the near future and I hope anybody that is even remotely interested in shopping collectibles or hobby items that you will give this place a chance and fall in love with the atmosphere as did my brother and I!!”
“What kid doesn't love going to the LEGO STORE. Wish I had enough money to buy all the sets my kids want. So many sets I want for myself! Lego is part educational, so I'd much rather spend money on Legos than some toy that will end up in the basement. (Photo of special event cat)”

“Great place always an awesome experience when we go. Tina is the best! She made our last visit in June super awesome when she came out the back with a Extra Patty the Cow squish! Our trip was well worth it and my kids were super excited!! Great staff, Very friendly and always willing to help you and definitely put a smile on your Child's face! “Having just gotten into the hobby last year, this shop was a god send. From recommendations to standard collecting practices. Pete, the owner has been very knowledgeable and honest from my experience. I’ve since traveled the island checking out other shops. I alway find myself coming back to this one. Great people, I definitely recommend checking it out if anything.”
“Heard about this store from the LI Teachers group on FB. Greatest little find. Store has teacher supplies throughout but most of it is concentrated in the back. The woman at the register is extremely helpful. If you can’t find something, just ask her, she will let you know if they have any more in the back or if the are ordering more supplies. They also laminate anything you buy for free. Plus teachers get a 15% discount. Great store and customer service.”
“The main reason for this 5 star review is for Wilson who helped me put together a beautiful wedding arrangement of $200. His attention to detail, commitment and communication skills are incredible.Unfortunately, door dash delivery was a complete disaster. The 2 most expensive ballons were already deflated along with 4 other balloons. They wrapped the bags around our lamp post and broke of the tge lamps. He strongly suggest to pick up your Ballon arrangements.”
“What an awesome toy store! I was visiting family in Long Island for a few days when my aunt and I went shopping for Christmas. There was a great variety of options and all of the employees were so lovely, especially Morgan! She helped my aunt and I figure out what to get my siblings and cousins for Christmas and she was very fun to talk to. There hasn’t been a toy store in person that I’ve seen in a while like this one and I recommend to anyone in the area for sure.”
“Don't be fooled by the seemingly small storefront - this toy store has so much selection inside and so neatly organized. My kids and I were warmly greeted upon entering and offered help. Staff were all so friendly and kind. Great place to buy gifts for kids' birthday parties. I especially loved that they carry Usborne activity books!”

The woman in the store (sorry, but I never got your name) was extremely helpful and friendly. I was able to get gifts for both and I feel confident that the girls will enjoy them. “I visit Miller's every time I need a gift for a younger person. In a world of online shopping NOTHING beats walking into Millers and picking out a special gift that you will not find anywhere else! Their clothing, shoes, toys, infant section, educational items, bicycles are top notch! Not to mention, their customer service cannot be compared to any other business. Once again, I went to Millers to pick up a special baby gift. After my selection {of beautiful baby clothes/blanket/books/soft dolls}, Nadine offered to package, wrap AND mail out the gift for me! So convenient and Nadine & Crew are so pleasant! Miller's is a special place, their kindness, customer service and selection of quality children's items makes them a tremendous asset to Westchester County!”
“The man working the register was super nice, joyful and generous… He gave us a $10 discount in total for our Large Squishmallows without us even asking, he also gave my kids 2 Christmas “Squishy’s” for free. What a great man, he made my kids day… Of course I was happy to save some money, but as a Mother I care more about my kids being treated with kindness and generosity because I raise them to be that way too.”
