He brought the giant garbage can I bought out to my car in the freezing cold today and stayed out there for 10 minutes while trying to get it to fit in my car. This time it's because I bought something online that the house REALLY needed, but couldn't leave my house because my mother is bed ridden, not well, and for over a week I couldn't find someone appropriate to safely watch her so I could go pick it up. When Ace called me because they wanted to remind me that I had a product waiting, I explained my situation and asked if they could please just hold it a little longer. The next day, my doorbell rang and an Ace employee had their hand outreached to me with the product and a smile. I was and am floored. This is the old timey kind of customer service from my youth and not usually seen anymore. Thank you to whichever employees were involved in that whole resolution. :)”

“Living in Great Neck, I visited Ace and three nearby hardware stores, but I couldn't find the pull down hose named NEOPEARL that I needed, so I suffered the inconvenience of not being able to use the sink. I read on the internet that I could get parts in Ferguson, so I drove 20 minutes this morning, asked the clerk, and was given a note with the address of this store. The store clerk told me about the store's long history and smiled kindly. I want to visit again next time when I need to replace plumbing or shower parts.”
“What a wonderful place. I called to see if they carried brown mulch, spoke to Mark and said they had plenty..I needed 18 bags. When I finally got there, Mark was so very polite and courteous and took care of me right away. Drove to the back of the store, and this young woman, Katelyn was all set to load the car . All 18 bags..I felt so bad that a young woman had to do this..Let me tell you what an amazing, awsome young woman she is..She picked up each bag, put it in the car, made sure there was room for all of them. She worked so fast and was so sweet about it..not a complaint out of her. Katelyn is a true asset to Ace and I truly hope she is acknowledged for being such an amazing employee there..Very satisfied customer here..Thank you Katelyn and Mark”

“Holy moly. This is the best building store for both pros and DIY’ers. The store was renovated and restocked in first part of 2024 and it’s even better than before. Riverhead is my go to for lumber, trim and moulding, paint and stains, cauks, both common and rare fasteners, drywall supplies, general building supplies and tools. They carry most of the stuff big box does but with a friendly expert staff.
1) Premium (straight) lumber
2) They’ll cut down lumber and load it for you for free
3) $50 delivery on orders under $500
4) Open an account and they email you an invoice for your records every night”

“A local hardware store just like in the movies or your childhood where local knowledge beats the big box stores all day long. Whatever your needs check out Nobmans before you take that dreaded trip to Home Depot. From that hard to find screw or how to handle what's getting into your garden they have ot all...including garden furniture. If you dont see what you need just asked and you may just be surprised at how much they pack into a corner store.”

They both have been of a great help as is was not that easy. But they did the job perfectly, with smile and a real sense of service. Moreover, Pattie, as an artist :-) was very gentle with my two daughters, drawing little sketches for them.Now I understand why this business is still here after more than 100 years in the same family, long life to them !”

Needs to have a fire works show right in front of the store with giant blimp floating right above them that reads " WELCOME EVERYBODY "My experience with this Lowe's team was amazing . My guy STAN helped me out he was very knowledgeable and made shopping a lot easier. I didn't get that sense of being rushed at all ; which I totally get turned off from but that was not the case here . Even when I got a lil picky and wanted to refund , repurchase transaction done , they made it that happen smoothly and their just so friendly from the people on floor to the self check out lady asking if everything's alright ? Couldn't ask for more God bless those folks P.s this was a on Wednesday evening”

“Every time I go here, these guys are nice and helpful. They take the time to walk around the store showing and explaining things to me. One time I brought a toy from one of my daughters in, that broke and figured I would just buy the replacement pieces. A guy who worked there fixed it right then and there, using replacement pieces from the store, and said there was no charge at all. When I go to Home Depot, there is nobody around to help or who knows what they're talking about. This place is far superior, more personal, and more helpful.”
